CI SDP: Are EULEX, KFOR and KPS waiting for serious incidents to happen? (Kontakt plus)

Citizens' Initiative SDP announced today that the latest attack on the former building of Kosovska Mitrovica municipality represents another in a series of provocative acts against Serbs in Kosovo.

SDP calls on the international representatives in Kosovo to use their influence and impact on calming the situation in order not to repeat the unfortunate events of the past when Serbs were expelled from Kosovo by an organized violence.

Former building of Mitrovica Municipal Assembly stoned (Kim radio, Kontakt Plus Radio, Tanjug)

Unknown persons have stoned the building that used to house the Municipal Assembly of Kosovska Mitrovica leaving no one injured.

At the moment of the attack, which took place on Tuesday evening, only security staff was in the building that now hosts the Civil Protection Service, and as they said no material damage was caused since the stones only hit the façade or fell in front of the building.

They also underlined that they did not see the attackers, and that they assume that the stones were whirled using a slingshot.

Serb suspected of a murder released after questioning (Kontakt Plus radio)

Radomir Kasalovic, who was arrested by the EULEX police in the north, was released on bail after the hearing, said his lawyer Ljubomir Pantovic. Pantovic in a statement to Kontakt Plus radio said that Kasalovic made ​​a statement in the southern part of Mitrovica, after which he was released on bail.

A public hearing regarding the drafting of the budget of the municipality of North Mitrovica for 2015 was held in the northern part of Mitrovica. The budget draft was presented to the citizens and councillors of the north Mitrovica Assembly by Mayor Goran Rakic and head of the Administrative Office of northern Mitrovica Adriana Hodzic.

Rakic ​​said that they received budget of 4.5 million euros from the Ministry of Finance from Pristina, but, according to him, for the normal functioning of the city it takes more than 30 million.

Warrants for arrest of Stevan Vulovic, Slavisa Ristic (Kontakt plus radio, Tanjug)

KOSOVSKA MITROVICA - Acting EULEX Chief Joelle Vachter stated on Sunday that warrants have been issued for the arrest of Zubin Potok Mayor Stevan Vulovic and former mayor Slavisa Ristic.

In an interview for the Mitrovica-based Kontakt Plus radio, Vachter said that Vulovic is suspected of organising escape of several arrestees, while Ristic is charged with endangering UN and accompanying staff and a grave murder.

Vachter said that EULEX will focus its efforts on countering high-level corruption, fight against organised crime and solving war crimes cases.
