Consultations begin on murders of journalists in Kosovo (B92, Kontakt plus radio)

OSCE's media freedom representative has told the EFJ he began consultations with the president of the Serbian Commission Investigating Murders of Journalists.

The commission is headed by Veran Matic.

OSCE's Harlem Desir said that the consultations began on how to reopen investigations into the killings and disappearances of 14 journalists and media workers in Kosovo and Metohija, the Association of Journalists of Serbia (UNS) announced on Wednesday.

Courts in northern Kosovo are still not working in full capacity (Kontakt plus radio)

The integrated justice system in northern Kosovo is not fully functional even after six months and citizens face many problems because of it.  According to the research of the Advocacy Centre for the Democratic Culture (ACDC), Courts do not have citizens' trust and still do not work in its full capacity, reports Kontakt plus radio.

In a public discussion on Thursday in the Centre for Civil Energy in Mitrovica North, problems of the citizens were mentioned in regards to claiming their rights before the courts.

On a public list of wanted persons are Radomir Kasalovic, Dusan Jovanovic, Ratomir Bozovic, Branislav Rakic, Petri Salihu, Korab Zogjani, Agron Kryeziu, Ilir Avdullahu, reports Kontakt plus radio.

On the website of the Kosovo Police, along with the names, there are photographs of the wanted persons. Of the four Serbs from the list, three are linked to the murder of member of the Kosovo Police, Enver Zymberi, on July 26, 2011.

The spokesperson of the Serbian List Igor Simic told Kontakt plus radio that the current security situation in Kosovo is worrying. He welcomed the continuation of the dialogue in Brussels but assess as the failure of non-acceptance of the document by the Government of Kosovo because it was written in the Cyrillic alphabet. He says this was another indicator of the attitude of Kosovo institutions towards Serb representatives.

Director of Human Centre Mitrovica NGO, Veroljub Petronic told Radio Kontakt that the latest events in Staro Gracko are only one of the few security risks that contribute to the worsening of the overall security situation in Kosovo. He says in an interview with the radio that event in Staro Gracko last night was just one of the “small corps of security risks that contribute to the destabilization of the security situation in Kosovo”.

Ambulance in Suvi Do stoned again (Kontakt plus radio)

Ambulance of the Health Center in North Mitrovica, located in Suvi Do, was stoned last night, confirms to the media, doctor Mirjana Blagojevic, the Head of the Health Center in North Mitrovica.

Unknown perpetrators broken windows this time, and the police carried out an investigation.

Dr Blagojevic reminds that this is not the first case of stoning of the ambulance in Suvi Do, reports Kontakt plus radio.
