Jevtic: Attack on children dangerous provocation (KIM Radio)

Kosovo Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Communities and Returns, Dalibor Jevtic said that last night incident in the village of Staro Gracko when children were attacked is a dangerous provocation, KIM Radio reports.

He added, it is even more dangerous because a six-month old baby who was in arms of her mother was also injured.

Attack against Staro Gracko village inhabitants, when children were injured, including a 6-month old baby is “a heinous act, demanding strongest condemnation,” Srpska Lista (SL) said in a press statement, Radio KIM reported.

SL asked for urgent apprehension and punishment of those responsible for the attack against Matovic family and requested the international community to wake up and finally starts reacting to synchronized ethnically motivated attacks against the Serbs.

New thefts of cattle in villages in Kamenica municipality (RTS)

Five cattle, belonging to two Serb families were stolen last night in the villages of Kamenica municipality. The damage would be even higher, if some of the village inhabitants did not react, RTS reports.

Three cattle were stolen in the village of Bosce, belonging to the Blasko Stojanovic family. This family is internally displaced and lives in a very dire economic situation.

There are 7 underage children in this family, while stolen cows were the only source of incomes to them, Serb representative from the local-self-governance told RTS.

Serb detained in Petric near Klina released (Radio kontakt plus)

Serb arrested yesterday in the village of Petric, near Klina was released last night, Chairperson of Provisional Council, Bozidar Sarkovic confirmed to Serbian media.

L.B. (53) was detained following claims of several Albanians that he has provoked them. Pristina based media outlet Koha, referring to Kosovo police, earlier reported that L.B. was arrested for the alleged massacre in the village in 1999.

Sarkovic told Serbian media there are unofficial information.

 

Clash Erupts at Protest Against Kosovo Serb Churchgoers (Balkan Insight)

One man was injured and another arrested when Kosovo Albanians in the village of Klina protested against Serbs displaced in the aftermath of the 1999 conflict who returned to visit the local church.

Kosovo’s Minister for Returns and Communities, Dalibor Jevtic, condemned the incident on Monday which saw one person injured when ethnic Albanian residents of Klina blocked a road in protest against the visiting Serbs.

“This is unacceptable, and to this and similar incidents we must stand in the way,” Jevtic said.

Police dispersed Albanians, they returned and attacked Serbs (B92, Radio Gorazdevac, KoSSev, Blic)

Three Serbs were injured in the village of Petric, after they were attacked by Albanian population, Serbian media reported.

According to Serbian media, group of Albanians, previously dispersed by the Kosovo Police gathered again and surrounded displaced Serbs who managed to reach the Church of Holly Trinity in the village, although Albanians blocked the road during the morning.

Following a ceremonial part, an attack occurred, targeting those who were in the yard and around the church.

Djuric condemned violence against Serbs in Petric near Klina (KIM Radio)

Serbian Government Office for Kosovo and Metohija Director, Marko Djuric in the strongest terms condemned violence against Serbs intending to mark Christian holiday of the Holly Trinity in the village of Petric, near Klina, KIM Radio reported.

Djuric added he expects from “provisional institutions in Pristina and international organization to enable rights to freedom of movement and practicing religion to the Serbian pilgrims.”

Auxiliary object of Mitrovic family in Cernica set on fire (RTV Puls, Radio kontakt plus)

On Friday around 23.00, unknown perpetrators set on fire an auxiliary object belonging to Dragisa Mitrovic, in the village of Cernica, near Gnjilane, RTV Puls reported.

The object is damaged severely, while firefighters reached the spot and prevented greater material damage.

The case is reported to the Kosovo police and the investigation is ongoing, spokesperson for Gjilane region Ismet Hashani told RTV Puls.

 

 

Orahovac: Crosses on tombs of Serbs buried two months ago demolished (KIM Radio, Gracanica Online)

All Souls Day was marked across Kosovo on Saturday. In addition to broken gravestones, Serbs from Orahovac in an old city cemetery found broken crosses on the tombs of Marija Radic and Zoran Lukic, buried there in March this year, GracanicaOnline portal reported.
