Djuric: Violence against Serbs must be sanctioned the most severely (RTS)

Serbian Government Office for Kosovo and Metohija Director Marko Djuric told RTS this morning that the latest incident in Mitrovica North in which an underage boy was injured indicates that the brutal attacks against the Serbs continue. He also warned that the violence against the Serbs must be immediately and the most severely sanctioned.

The stabbing of a young boy in Mitrovica North is beyond doubts an inter-ethnic incident and those responsible for this cowardly attack should be urgently brought before the justice, Office for Kosovo and Metohija Director Marko Djurc said, BETA news agency reports.

This is yet another in a series of attacks against Serbian people in Kosovo and Metohija, aiming to intimidate them, and we are also convinced it is about politically inspired event, Office for Kosovo and Metohija said in a statement.

Srpska Lista Chair Goran Rakic has reacted to the stabbing of a young Serb boy in Mitrovica North, Kosovo-online portal reports.

“Cowardly assault on underage Serbian boy D.B. by a group of Albanian hooligans who came to the northern part of Mitrovica from the southern part of the city is absolutely unacceptable, illegal and shameful,” Mitrovica North Mayor Goran Rakic has said last night.

Healthcare facility in Staro Gracko broken into for the fourth time (TV Most)

Unknown perpetrators have broken into healthcare facility in the village of Staro Gracko and caused material damage, TV Most reports.

Only a few days ago, medical personnel found a broken window and demolished glass on the front part of the building. Given that facility is closed on weekends, it is uncertain if the latest incident occurred on Sunday or Saturday.

The case has been reported to the Kosovo police. This is the fourth incident targeting this healthcare facility.

Office for KiM strongly condemns burglary of Staro Gracko healthcare facility (Radio KIM)

Serbian Government Office for Kosovo and Metohija in the strongest terms condemned the fourth burglary of a healthcare facility located in the village of Staro Gracko, Radio KIM reports.

The Office said in a statement that “Serbia would repair consequences of this and every other similar attack”.

Bishop Teodosije served memorial to murdered Serb harvesters (Srna, TV N1)

Raska-Prizren Eparchy Bishop Teodosije served today a memorial service to 14 Serb harvesters, killed two decades ago, in the village of Staro Gracko, Lipljan municipality, SRNA news agency reported.

Following the service, Bishop Teodosije said that “for twenty years we gather in Staro Gracko and recall this heinous crime for which no one was held responsible”.

Bishop Teodosije also said unpunished criminals did not stop after killing the 14 harvesters, but mined the cemetery in 2000 and later demolished and desecrated a memorial plaque placed in the center of the village.

Beating up and arrest of 70-year old Vojislav Todorovic from Gnjilane at crossing point of Konculj is yet another attempt to intimidate the Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija, Srpska Lista said in a statement and urged the international community to stop “anti-Serbian hysteria”, RTS reports.

Serbian national public broadcaster RTS reports today that Kosovo police has beaten up and arrested 70-year old Vojislav Todorovic from Gnjilane, and prior to that they mistreated his wife at administrative crossing of Konculj, Office for Kosovo and Metohija said in a statement.

Todorovic family is one of the few Serb families still living in the Gnjilane town.

Coordination of Serb Associations of Missing, Murdered and Killed Persons Families in a statement delivered to the media said tomorrow would be 20 years since the killing of 14 Serb harvesters in the village of Staro Gracko, near Lipljan, Radio KIM reports. They added “the compromise and normalization of relations cannot be established with the truth and the justice.”

The Coordination warned that “no one was held responsible for this and many other crimes committed against the Serbs in an organized and systematic manner by the members of the so-called Kosovo Liberation Army.”
