Serbian Minister of Interior Nebojsa Stefanovic told Belgrade based Vecernje Novosti that Kosovo, in accordance with international law, including UN Security Council Resolution 1244, is an integral part of Serbia under the interim international administration of the UN.

In the statement of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija, the Deputy Director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija, Dusan Kozarev, said at the OSCE Human Dimension Conference in Warsaw that Serbs in Kosovo have been exposed to ethnically-motivated attacks in the past year about 50 times. Kosovo’s Foreign Minister, Behgjet Pacolli, announced on Facebook that Interpol’s executive council voted in favour of Kosovo’s membership bid being included in the agenda of the organisation’s General Assembly set to take place in November. “Republic of Kosovo’s membership in Interpol does not constitute a threat to anyone. Kosovo in Interpol contributes to the global fight against organised crime, violent extremism and other criminal activities,” Pacolli wrote.
