Dacic: Kosovo would fail at voting for Interpol (BETA, KoSSev)

Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ivica Dacic said Kosovo “would fail” at the voting for membership in Interpol, despite of allocating millions of euros to become part of this international organization, BETA news agency reported.

“Without agreement (with Belgrade) there is no membership in any international organization. They would fail at the voting for Interpol, as they did for UNESCO,” Dacic added.

Serbian Ministry of Internal Affairs State Secretary, Dijana Hrkalovic during the meeting with Algerian and Tunisian ambassadors to Serbia, Abdelhamid Cebchoub and Seyf Rejeb said that the eventual admission of the so-called Kosovo to Interpol would constitute violation of the international law, as well as of rules and procedures of this police international organization, Novosti daily reported yesterday afternoon.

Vucic: Announcements of establishing army in Kosovo concerning (Tanjug, RTS)

Announcements of establishing Kosovo army, under that or some other name, is something that causes fear and anxiety, Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said, adding he hopes for some sort of Belgrade-Pristina dialogue continuation in order to decrease tension because of such things, Tanjug news agency reported.

Vucic made these remarks responding to the journalist’s question to comment on Pristina announcements they would make a decision this week on forming the army, either with that or some other name.

Kozarev at the OSCE conference on ethnically motivated attacks on Serbs (RTS)

In the statement of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija, the Deputy Director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija, Dusan Kozarev, said at the OSCE Human Dimension Conference in Warsaw that Serbs in Kosovo have been exposed to ethnically-motivated attacks in the past year about 50 times. Kozarev estimates that this is largely due to the failure Pristina to fulfil its obligations in terms of establishing the Community of Serb Municipalities (ZSO), reports Radio Television of Serbia (RTS).

"We'll tell everyone, Kosovo can't join Interpol" (Tanjug, B92)

Serbian Interior Minister Nebojsa Stefanovic said today that Serbia will inform all Interpol General Assembly members that Kosovo should not join the organization, Tanjug news agency reports.

Stefanovic also said he informed Interpol chief Meng Hongwei about this today, and that Serbia will deliver written arguments and facts to support its stance ahead of the organization's General Assembly.

Pacolli confirms Kosovo membership bid is on Interpol agenda (Koha)

Kosovo’s Foreign Minister, Behgjet Pacolli, announced on Facebook that Interpol’s executive council voted in favour of Kosovo’s membership bid being included in the agenda of the organisation’s General Assembly set to take place in November. “Republic of Kosovo’s membership in Interpol does not constitute a threat to anyone. Kosovo in Interpol contributes to the global fight against organised crime, violent extremism and other criminal activities,” Pacolli wrote.
