Bishop Teodosije visited people injured in police action in north (Radio KIM)

Raska-Prizren Eparchy Bishop Teodosije visited yesterday people injured in Kosovo police special unit action, who are staying in Mitrovica North Clinical Centre, Radio KIM reports.

Bishop Teodosije thanked the doctors and medical professionals there for their efforts to help those injured. He also wished them a speedy recovery.

Bishop Teodosije in particular spent the time with UNMIK member Mikhail Krasnoshchekov who was beaten up and injured.

Serbian List: Spasojevic and Rosic to be enabled to defend from freedom (TV Most)

Serbian List has issued a press release on Wednesday as a reaction to the extension of detention of Nedeljko Spasojevic and Marko Rosic, TV Most reports.

Serbian List said the decision was made without any evidence and based on false testimonies, recalling that Nedeljko Spasojevic and Marko Rosic are in detention for more than 150 days.

“You have to make this fateful decision to stay where you are, and this is not the decision of an individual, it is the decision of the Serbian people,” the Patriarch of Serbian Orthodox Church Irinej said today at the Church of St. Dimitrije in Mitrovica North, KoSSev portal reported.

The Patriarch has been visiting monasteries, churches, and meeting with Kosovo Serbs for the past four days. He sent clear messages against ethnic partition and delimitation, emphasizing on the other hand that Serbia should not recognize Kosovo as an independent state.

After the British government sent a warning to its citizens not to travel to municipalities in the north of Kosovo due to risks of security incidents, thus causing intense reactions in the public, the UK government in Pristina issued a statement that the British embassy ''advised against all but essential travel to the northern municipalities for several years, due to a number of recent violent incidents linked to organised crime in northern Kosovo. ''

Junior basketball team players banned to enter Kosovo at Jarinje crossing point (Radio kontakt plus, KoSSev)

Junior basketball team “Borac” players from central Serbia, that was supposed to play a game in Mitrovica North today, was banned to enter Kosovo yesterday at the Jarinje crossing point, Radio kontakt plus reported.

Basketball team “Trepca” was supposed to be their host. “Trepca” trainer Bratislav Dzogovic said he personally and young players are very disappointed over the ban. He added, the team from Cacak delivered the list to the police, said they are a basketball team, spent a half an hour at Jrainje, however their entry in Kosovo was not allowed.

Kosovo Police: 235 betting shops searched in 33 cities, 35 closed (KoSSev)

The Kosovo Police, in cooperation with the tax administration and the Kosovo Customs, conducted an operation yesterday in 33 cities in Kosovo during which 235 casinos and betting shops were searched and 35 of them were closed. Customs seized 118 gambling machines, while some betting shops and casinos which were closed did not have a work permit, which was also the reason behind this operation, the Kosovo Police announced in an urgent press conference held in Pristina.
