Icy Panopticon (Koha Ditore)

In his regular column, Enver Robelli anticipates a difficult year ahead which, he says, will be marked with standstill, impoverishment and desperation of the people of Kosovo. Serbian List as extension of Serbia (Tribuna)

Columnist Donik Sallova writes that agreement between the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK) and Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK) has been generally interpreted as marking the end of the six-month political stalemate and was justified with the need to save Kosovo from its complete collapse. At the same time, while some viewed the PDK-LDK coalition as an “act of betrayal”, Sallova warns that the biggest danger from the new government comes from the infiltration of the Serbian List into Kosovo institutions.

The rest of LDK MPs voted in favour of a government that unites evil and crime, writes Robelli.

Only one winner from this six-month commotion: Kadri Veseli (Gazeta Blic)

Editor-in-chief of the Gazeta Blic news website, Adrian Collaku, writes that the end of the six-month institutional crisis in Kosovo produced winners and losers. The main losers, according to Collaku, are citizens of Kosovo not only because during the last six months, their living conditions deteriorated even further, but also because the governance remained unchanged. Although the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK) will not formally lead the new government, it will have a say on all issues.
