Jevtic: Serbs will be a significant factor in the Kosovo Assembly (Blic)

Minister for Communities and Return in Kosovo Government Dalibor Jevtic said today that the Serbs will be a significant factor in the Kosovo Assembly and theirs position should be used to solve the problems of the Serbian community.

Kosovo's Constitutional Court will evaluate the constitutionality of the election process of the Chairperson of the Assembly of Kosovo and the decision is expected sometime mid-August, said Jevtic to Tanjug agency, stressing that he expects in September talk on the formation of Government.

Twelve interns to get to know Assembly’s work (Kosovapress)

United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and the Assembly of Kosovo have signed an agreement for admission of twelve interns in the Assembly. The move is part of the parliamentary development project on social policies.

Agreement was signed by the UNDP director for Kosovo and United Nations Kosovo Team coordinator, Andrew Russell, and the General Secretary of the Kosovo Assembly, Ismet Krasniqi.

Involvement of interns in the Assembly’s work will enable them to get professional knowledge from the parliamentary field during a period of one year.

Constitutional Court to reach a decision within a week (Koha)

Kosovo’s Constitutional Court has confirmed to have received the request from the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK) to interpret the constitutive session of the Kosovo Assembly and election of Isa Mustafa to the post of the Speaker but the judges have not yet met to decide whether to temporarily suspend Assembly’s works as requested by the PDK.
