Security of Serbs and other non-majority communities, Islamic radicalism and the necessity of full KFOR presence in Kosovo were among the topic of the meeting between members of Srpska Lista and NATO Deputy Secretary General, Rose Gottemoeller in Pristina on Friday, KIM Radio reported.
The situation on the election day was calm, KFOR announcement said, KIM Radio reported.
“KFOR in line with its mandate, deriving from the UN SC Resolution 1244, contributed to the safe and secure environment and the freedom of the movement, overseeing the situation in close cooperation with the international community, the Organization for Co-operation and Security in Europe, Kosovo police and the EU Rule of Law Mission in Kosovo,” the announcement further said.

The new troops will be deployed on 19 July and will remain for nine months as part of the NATO peacekeeping mission, KFOR.
DW in Serbian language reported that Bundestag extended the mandate of the Bundeswehr in Kosovo for one more year, but representatives of all political parties condemned mentioning of “Greater Albania.”

Deputy Assistant of NATO Secretary General for Operations, John Manza stated that NATO will keep its presence in the Western Balkans region as it has strategic importance to the Alliance.
As it was posted on the KFOR web-site, security in this region contributes to the stability and safety in entire Europe, Manza stated, adding that NATO will stay present and focused on the Western Balkans.
KFOR a key factor in maintaining peace and protecting religious facilities, deputy prime minister Branimir Stojanovic and Deputy Assistant Secretary General of NATO Operations John Manza have agreed, reports KIM radio.
During the meeting, they exchanged views on the situation in Kosovo, discussing security, protection of religious facilities and the current political situation after parliamentary elections.
