Maric: Sustainable development strategy for the Serbian municipalities (KiM radio)

Minister of Local Government Administration in Kosovo Ljubomir Maric announced that businessmen from Serbia and others who will invest in Kosovo and Metohija will be offered a sustainable development strategy.

Maric said that the strategy will contain the details of the potentials for investment in 10 municipalities. "Those are local governments that will be part of a future Association / Community of Serbian municipalities (ZSO), so this will also be the development strategy of the ZSO," said Maric.

Kosovo laws should be harmonized with Brussels agreement (Blic)

Harmonization of the legal framework in Kosovo with the Brussels agreement remains the main prerequisite for establishment of the community of Serb municipalities (ZSO), Ljubomir Maric, the coordinator of the steering team for the ZSO establishment and Kosovo Minister of Administration and Local Self-Government, said late Tuesday.

After a meeting with officials of the European External Action Service, Maric pointed out that he has filed a report at the invitation of the EU on what has been done in terms of ZSO since the steering team was formed in 2013.

Kosovo Minister of Administration and Local Self-government Ljubomir Maric condemned the attacks on the members of Serb community in Kosovo. "The coexistence of different ethnic groups is a reality and incidents, tensions and attacks of any kind are absolutely unacceptable," said Maric. He welcomed the swift response of the relevant authorities who detained one of the attackers, in the case of attack which happened two days ago in Pasjane.

Serbs expect from Pristina to initiate as soon as possible the formation of working groups that will deal with the Association/Community of Serbian Municipalities (ZSO).

The first test of the relations between the coalition partners towards the Serbian list will be the establishment of working groups, which should lay the foundation for the formation of ZSO.

Kosovo Minister for Local Government, Ljubomir Maric said last night that for the Serbs was unacceptable to change status of Trepca, as a pillar of the economy and economic development of the Serbian community in Kosovo, with "hastily adopted decisions".

According to him, the issue of Trepca is and the political and legal issue. Kosovo Parliament last night adopted specific legislation to extend the deadlines and prevent the liquidation of Trepca.

Maric: ZSO formation among main topics of Brussels dialogue (Tanjug)

Ljubomir Maric, Kosovo's minister of administration and local self-government from the Serb people, said on Monday that the formation of a community of Serb municipalities (ZSO) will be among the main topics of the next meeting held as part of the Brussels dialogue.

In a statement to Tanjug, Maric said that the ZSO formation is also the main point of the coalition agreement, which the Citizens' Initiative Srpska signed with (ethnic) Albanian parties to form the government.
