Thaci: There was no Assembly session but an illegal meeting (Kosovapress)

Leader of the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK), Hashim Thaci said after the meeting with the party presidency that they discussed modalities for creation of new Kosovo institutions. Thaci said that today’s Assembly session was illegal and unofficial. He said the bloc used the premises of the Kosovo Assembly by exceeding authorizations. Thaci said all leaders should sit down together and reach an agreement on forming Kosovo institutions in accordance to the constitution, laws and the result of 8 June elections.

Prime Minister of Kosovo, Hashim Thaci, said everyone should respect Kosovo Constitution and laws and the entire political spectrum should reflect in the interest of Kosovo and its citizens. He stressed that June elections were free and fair and will provide the citizens of Kosovo the best possible solution for building of stable and efficient institutions that will work for economic development, opening of new jobs and integrating Kosovo into EU and NATO. He said they will continue implementing the “New Mission”.

Kosovo political analyst, Fatmir Sheholi, believes that representative of the Government of Kosovo will lead the political dialogue, and representative of the Self-determination will be at the forefront of technical dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina, which will be soon continued. Joksimovic: There will be no peace agreement between Serbia and Kosovo (Blic)

Minister without portfolio responsible for European integration Jadranka Joksimovic said today that the outcome of the Brussels Dialogue "will not be a peace agreement" between Serbia and Kosovo.

Joksimovic assessed the statement of outgoing Kosovo Prime Minister Hashim Thaci as a prelude to the start of the second phase of the dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia and more for the internal public.

“There is a very clear tendency to force us into entering negotiations with Thaci and the Democratic Party of Kosovo. There is a tendency to keep one part of the power at any cost,” Ramush Haradinaj, leader of the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo (AAK), says in an interview for Radio Free Europe. Haradinaj also argues that the opposition coalition (LDK-AAK-NISMA) will not make any compromise with the PDK, “despite the fact that the decision of the Constitutional Court tries to force political parties to talk with the PDK”.
