The house arrest for the former leader of the Vetevendosje Movement and Kosovo Assembly MP Albin Kurti, was extended today. According to his Court appointed lawyer, Hadije Ademi, Kurti will be in house arrest until 17 February of the next year. Kurti was arrested on 28 November in Pristina after participating and holding a speech at a gathering of the opposition parties.  He was indicted under suspicion of throwing teargas during the sessions at Assembly Hall.

The news site reports that Vetevendosje MP Albin Kurti, who was arrested by Kosovo Police on Saturday, has sent a second letter from the High-Security Prison. In his letter Kurti argues that the Association/Community of Serb-majority municipalities is the next and decisive stage of ruining the state of Kosovo. “The Association is a natural result of the Kosovo Government’s approach. What is the value of Kosovo’s independence if it will be followed by a model similar to that of Bosnia? This government must be stopped.

Kurti to take part in 28 November rally with 15 bodyguards (Orainfo.com)

The news site reports that the opposition seems to be mobilizing to protect Vetevendosje MP Albin Kurti following an announcement by the Kosovo Police that they will arrest Kurti on November 28. Kurti, who is wanted by Kosovo Police in relation to incidents in the Kosovo Assembly, is believed to be staying in Gllogjan, the birthplace of Ramush Haradinaj, leader of the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo.

Kosovo Police spokesperson Baki Kelani, told the news site that the MPs for whom there are arrest-warrants issued, can be arrested by the police if they appear in the opposition’s rally on 28 November or in any other environment. "Kosovo police is obliged to implement all arrest warrants,” Kelani said. He said Kosovo Police is determined to provide safety and security for all the citizens.

Kurti: We will not accept compromise (Koha)

Vetevendosje Movement MP, Albin Kurti, who is currently wanted by the Kosovo Polcie after an arrest warrant was issued for him this morning, appeared at the opposition’s protest today and gave a statement to the media. "Protests like this will continue. We will not accept any compromise,” Kurti said.  The news site reported that at the time Kurti arrived at the protest, the clashes between the police and protesters begun.
