Mustafa with  special congratulations for Haradinaj (Lajmi.net)  

The Prime Minister of Kosovo, Isa Mustafa, addressed the people of Kosovo to congratulate them for the anniversary of the declaration of the independence of Kosovo. However, he had special congratulations for the leader of the Alliance for Kosovo (AAK), Ramush Haradinaj. “I especially congratulate for this anniversary, this time, the former Prime Minister of Kosovo, Mr. Ramush Haradinaj who is being kept unjustly out of the country, based on an arrest warrant of Serbs who committed systematic crimes in Kosovo,” Mustafa wrote.

Mustafa: Border crossing in Merdare, result of dialogue (Klan Kosova)

Prime Minister of Kosovo, Isa Mustafa, said today at the cornerstone-laying ceremony for the crossing point between Kosovo and Serbia in Merdare that the event is a direct result of the dialogue for normalization of relations. “The dialogue has not been easy but it is producing very good results,” Mustafa said.

 

Government of Kosovo pledges to launch health insurance premiums in July (Lajmi)

Prime Minister of Kosovo, Isa Mustafa, said today at the Assembly that healthcare and education are among the top priorities of his government and that investments in these areas will increase in the coming period. Mustafa said the government of Kosovo was planning to launch health insurance early this year but considered more preparations were necessary. “We think the deadline needs to be extended for another six months to provide time for collection of premiums,” Mustafa said.

Mustafa: We cannot build the future without dealing with the past (Klan Kosova)

Prime Minister of Kosovo, Isa Mustafa, said that Kosovo and Serbia will not be able to build a future if they don’t deal with the past. In the first meeting of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission set up by President Hashim Thaci, Mustafa said that war crimes will not be forgotten. “By bravely addressing our past we win trust and strengthen the hope of our citizens for building a safe future. The past cannot hinder us in building the future if we prosecute and sentence those that have committed crimes,” Mustafa said.

Mustafa: No alternative to dialogue (Telegrafi)

Prime Minister of Kosovo, Isa Mustafa, said today during the Assembly session that if opposition parties had been in power, they would also be engaged in the dialogue with Serbia. He said a great deal of energy is being put on opposing dialogue instead of focusing on economic and social development. “There is no alternative to dialogue. All the motions and debates initiated at the Assembly have a common denominator which is either halting dialogue with Serbia or conditioning it. Dialogue with Serbia is in the interest of Kosovo,” Mustafa said.

On Jan. 28, High Representative of the European Union (EU) for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Federica Mogherini invited the Serbian and Kosovo prime ministers to attend a new round of talks in Brussels, on Feb. 1. The meeting to be attended by Prime Ministers Aleksandar Vucic and Isa Mustafa is the follow-up to a Jan. 24 meeting in Brussels, attended by Vucic and Mustafa, as well as the Serbian and Kosovo presidents, resulting in an agreement to lower tensions.
