Kosovo Prime Minister Isa Mustafa, today while commenting on the decision of the Constitutional Court to declare as inadmissible opposition’s request to contest the election of Kosovo President, said he knew that the Constitutional Court would give this answer, because, according to him, there was no violation in the presidential election process.
On the occasion of the start of the implementation of the Stabilization Association Agreement, the Prime Minister of Kosovo, Isa Mustafa said that this is a new chapter for the development of Kosovo.
Prime Minister of Kosovo Isa Mustafa said that no truck from Serbia will be allowed entrance to Kosovo without an agreement being reached first. As to the announced visit of Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic to Kosovo, Mustafa did not say whether permission was granted.
Kosovo’s European Integration Minister, Bekim Collaku, said that the implementation of the Stabilization and Association Agreement (SAA) which starts today, is very important for Kosovo because it will strengthen the political stability, rule of law, international and regional cooperation, sustainable economy market and gradual alignment with European standards in all areas. He also added that the SAA despite the benefits, brings also many new obligations for Kosovo.
Prime Minister of Kosovo Isa Mustafa said that the opposition parties have no reason to protest over border demarcation agreement with Montenegro following the findings of the ad-hoc commission that there were no irregularities in the process. Mustafa said the border demarcation agreement can now go to the Assembly of Kosovo for ratification.
Prime Minister of Kosovo Isa Mustafa and Interior Minister Skender Hyseni said in a meeting today that the security situation in Kosovo is satisfactory. Mustafa said that thanks to coordinated efforts by security institutions in Kosovo, the number of the Kosovo citizens that decide to join terrorist groups in Syria and Iraq has significantly dropped, with no such case being reported in the last eight months. Hyseni said Kosovo is proud of its commitment to the fight against terrorism.
Today Prime Minister of Kosovo Isa Mustafa met international experts part of the ad-hoc commission on border demarcation with Montenegro established by President Atifete Jahjaga. The meeting was confirmed by Mustafa’s advisor Bajram Gecaj. “Prime Minster Mustafa expressed the full readiness of the Government of Kosovo to provide any contribution that may be required by the commission,” Gecaj wrote on Facebook.
Today’s session of the Kosovo Assembly started off with observing a minute of silence in honor of the victims of the Brussels terror attacks. In an address, Prime Minister Isa Mustafa urged the people of Kosovo not to join terrorist groups and added that Kosovo is committed to remaining part of the alliance against terrorism.
The news site reports that the Kosovo Assembly began its session today by marking the 17th anniversary of the NATO air raids against Serbian targets and in defense of Kosovo Albanians in 1999. Assembly Speaker Kadri Veseli and Isa Mustafa delivered speeches commemorating the NATO raids and highlighted their importance for the liberation of Kosovo. Veseli and Mustafa also talked about the global war against terror and Kosovo’s commitment to this front. The MPs observed a moment of silence in honor of the victims of the recent terror attacks in Brussels.
Yesterday Prime Minister of Kosovo Isa Mustafa attended events organised to mark World Water Day. In a visit to the water factory in Shkabaj, Mustafa stressed the importance of water for the sustainable development of a country. He said the factory, which is still in the construction stage, will supply not only Pristina but more than eight municipalities with fresh water.
