Mustafa: Kosovo does not want destabilization of FYROM (Lajmi)

The Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Isa Mustafa, said today in Pristina that Kosovo is not a destabilizing factor and that it had nothing to do with the latest incidents in Kumanovo, in the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia. He also said that stability in FYROM means stability in the region, including Kosovo. Mustafa made these remarks during the regular meeting of the Kosovo government.

He said the reforms process, that began several years ago, will definitely have to end before June. The Kosovo government said today that it opposes what it called “an unreasonable strike” organized by the Education Union and called on the teachers to resume their classes. Prime Minister Isa Mustafa said the government has gone beyond the budgetary limits to meet the demands of the teachers. “There is no reason to stop classes. Schools are there to provide education for the children, and not for someone to get paid without holding their classes. We all need to act responsibly.
