Haradinaj promises stable government (Lajm)

The Alliance for the Future of Kosovo (AAK) held a regular meeting of its party presidency, the second after the 8 June elections. AAK head Ramush Haradinaj spoke about the latest political developments and about the process of working more closely with coalition partners to form a governing program. We are completely neutral and only one thing is important to us: respecting the Constitution,” the diplomat said.

Law on Pristina, the first step of the next government (Gazeta Blic)

One of the first steps of the next government consisting of the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK), the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo (AAK) and the Initiative for Kosovo (Nisma) will be to unblock the law on Pristina in the Assembly, a source close to the signatories of the agreement told the news website. The source said this was one of the reasons why Vetevendosje leader Albin Kurti decided to support a new government led by AAK leader Ramush Haradinaj. The adoption of the law on Pristina has been blocked in the Assembly of Kosovo for seven years now.

According to the news agency, the three leaders have agreed for Haradinaj to be the next prime minister of Kosovo. “The LDK, AAK and Nisma have agreed not to enter a coalition agreement with the PDK. Mustafa and Limaj have agreed for Haradinaj to get the post of Prime Minister in a joint government,” a source told the paper.

Haradinaj and Limaj meet to discuss opposition coalition (Gazeta Blic)

Sources told Gazeta Blic that AAK leader Ramush Haradinaj met today in Pristina with Nisma leader Fatmir Limaj. The two leaders discussed a coalition of opposition parties against the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK) led by Hashim Thaci. The news agency tried to contact AAK and Nisma representatives but they were not available for comment. Sources also told the news agency that after meeting Limaj, Haradinaj also met with Vetevendosje leader Albin Kurti.

PDK wants coalition with LDK (Tribuna)

Haradinaj wrote on his social network page, Facebook, that Petersen has welcomed “New Direction,” (the motto of this party in the election campaign.) “It was a pleasure to meet with my friend and with the great friend of Kosovo, Søren Jessen-Petersen, who used to be head of UNMIK,” wrote Haradinaj.
