UNS i DNKiM: Operation of the Independent Media Commission is illegal (KIM Radio)

Association of Journalists of Serbia (UNS) and Association of Journalists of Kosovo and Metohija (DNKiM) most sharply protested due to the fact that not even a year after a vacancy has been published for members of the Independent Media Commission (IMC) from the ranks of Serbian and other non-Albanian communities they were not appointed by the Commission and the Kosovo Assembly.

Ivanovic: Credibility of EULEX undermined due to fake indictment (KIM Radio)

The leader of Civic Initiative SDP Oliver Ivanovic stated today that he is of opinion that credibility of EULEX is seriously undermined due to the indictment raised against him, which he described as fake and politically motivated one.

In a written statement to ‘Kontakt Plus Radio’ Ivanovic assessed that process against him is political one and that he is disappointed that decision on his detention is not replaced with a less strict measure.

The indictments directed against return (KIM Radio)

The Association of Displaced people from Đakovica/ Gjakove announced that the indictments against Serbs from that city should serve to hamper the return of Serbs to that city. “All persons who are on the indictments, announced by the Municipal Court in Djakovica/Gjakova, on the basis of which the EULEX issued warrants, are on the list to return to Djakovica, which was submitted to UNMIK, OSCE and other international organizations. On the indictments are persons who didn’t sell their property hoping to return to their birthplace.

Kostic and Bratu on street lighting and employment (KIM radio)

Ambassador of Norway, Jan Bratu visited the Municipality of Gracanica and with the Mayor Vladeta Kostic spoke about current issues and projects for employment.

After the meeting, Bratu said that Mayor informed him about the development plans of the local government. Bratu promised assistance of the Embassy of Norway in Pristina for the Ecological and Energy efficiency project.

Srpska calls for adoption of special court bill (KiM Radio)

The Srpska List called on Albanian leaders in Kosovo-Metohija and representatives of the Kosovo government and parliament to pass a bill setting up a court that would try war crimes committed by the Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA).

The Srpska List noted that the attacks targeting Serbs in Kosovo-Metohija are well-organized, and aimed at intimidating the remaining Serb population, and presenting prominent Serbs as “bloodthirsty criminals” so as to make the Serb people in the province powerless.

Serbs not participating in today’s Kosovo parliament session (KIM Radio)

The Serbian List caucus whip in the Kosovo parliament Sasa Milosavljevic stated that MPs from that list will not take part in today’s parliament session.

“MPs from the Serbian List are still waiting to be summoned for a meeting with the Prime Minister of Serbia and representatives of the Serbian Government with regard to decision on future participation in Kosovo institutions. Only after this meeting representatives of the Serbian List will present their position about future activities,” said Milosavljevic to Beta agency.

Stojanovic: Murati’s statement scandalous (KIM Radio)

Statement of the Minister Murati where he accused non-majority communities for migration of Albanians from Kosovo is scandalous, and reflects hatred toward those who are not the majority in Kosovo, said Deputy Kosovo Prime Minister Branimir Stojanovic.

In his reaction on the Minister for Diaspora Valon Murati’s statement that reasons for massive migration of Albanians from Kosovo lays in ‘privileged position of minorities’, Stojanovic said that this statement has nothing to do with the truth and requested from the Prime Minister Isa Mustafa to react.

Jacobson: Maximum 10 cases for the special court (KIM Radio)

The US Ambassador to Kosovo Tracey Ann Jacobson said that quick creation of the special court is important for the wellbeing and future of Kosovo and stressed that the court won’t deal with more than ten cases.

“This court will remove the black stain over the KLA, and will not deal at all with the glorious fight of the KLA,” said Jacobson in Prizren.
