Serbian President Tomislav Nikolic said that he discussed the proposal for the long-term solution for Kosovo-Metohija with Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic and that the document will be approved by both the prime minister and the president before it is forwarded to the government.

"We will both agree with the proposal before it is presented to the government, because it would be pointless to send any material from the President's office to the government with which Aleksandar Vucic would not agree completely," Nikolic told Belgrade-based Prva Television.

 Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic said that it is "too early to talk about a comprehensive solution to the Kosovo and Metohija issue. He also added he was "in a constant contact with Serbian President Tomislav Nikolic in this regard."

"There are countless interpretations of the Brussels agreement, and difficult talks in difficult conditions are ahead of us," Vucic said, commenting on the continuation of the EU-brokered dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina on the implementation of the agreement reached in Brussels on February 9.

Proposal for the solution of K&M status will be a joint project between the Government and the President of Serbia. The document is already roughly drafted and daily consultations between Tomislav Nikolic and Aleksandar Vucic began, learned Novosti.

Association of Families of kidnapped and murdered in Kosovo and Metohija appealed today to the Serbian PM, Aleksandar Vucic, asking him to set the release of abducted Serbs and return to their families as the first topic of the agenda, at the future meeting with Kosovo Prime Minister, Isa Mustafa.

The dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia will resume with the meeting between Isa Mustafa, the Prime Minister of Kosovo, and Aleksandar Vucic, the Prime Minister of Serbia, in Brussels on 8-9 February. The establishment of the Association/Community of Serb-majority Municipalities is expected to be the main topic of the meeting. According to Belgrade-based Vecernje Novosti, the two prime ministers will also discuss the properties of Serbs in Kosovo, creation of conditions for IDP returns and the judiciary.

ROME -- Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic has said that he "never received from the EU as an official condition" Serbia's recognition of Kosovo.

The issue of setting conditions before Belgrade was brought up by EU Commissioner Johannes Hahn, and then his statements were interpreted by Serbian President Tomislav Nikolic and Deputy Prime Minister Ivica Dacic.

Exactly six months after the early parliamentary elections of Kosovo, Pristina yesterday inaugurated the new Assembly of Kosovo. Elected President of the Assembly is an official of the PDK, Kadri Veseli, a former chief of the Intelligence Service of the KLA, known as SHIK. The “Mothers’ cries” association reacted on Sunday, to a statement made by Serbia Prime Minister, Aleksandar Vucic’s at the UN Security Council on 4 December, Koha reports. Koha writes that according to this association, Vucic accused Gjakova/Djakovica’s mayor, Mimoza Kusari-Lila, that she is preventing the return of Serbs in Gjakove/Djakovica. “Vucic at any moment did not mention the residents of Gjakove/Djakovica, that were murdered by Serbian authorities, whose remains are still missing,” stated the reaction.

Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic said on Sunday that Serbia "does not give up on its European path or its territorial integrity."

"Serbia is trying to pursue a responsible policy, a policy in the interest of the people," said Vucic when asked to comment on President Tomislav Nikolic's position that recognition of Kosovo will be EU's condition.
