Gecaj: Mirjana Jevtić officially still the minister (RTK2)

Deputy Minister for Local Government Bajram Gecaj told RTK2 that Mirjana Jevtić continues to be the Head of the Ministry of Local Self-Government of Kosovo.

"There is a decision of the Prime Minister, Isa Mustafa, on the appointment of Minister Jevtić, but not the decision on dismissal," said the deputy minister.

He also says that as long as the boycott of Serb representatives lasts, the Community/Associations of Serb municipalities cannot be discussed.

The implementation of the agreement on justice is postponed? (Večernje Novosti, RTK2, Beta)

Daily Večernje Novosti reported that agreement on justice, agreed by Belgrade and Pristina in Brussels in 2013, which should begin with the realization on January 10, was postponed until January 17, but it is uncertain whether it will happen even then.

This delay of implementation of the agreement was confirmed at a meeting of Serbs employed in the judiciary in Kosovo with representatives of the Serbian Ministry of Justice.

Serbs from Srbica/Skenderaj seek 500 million euro for damages (RTK2)

The courts in Kosovo have refused lawsuits of Serbs from Srbica/Skenderaj, for damages caused to their property in 1999, according to media reports in Albanian.

146 displaced Serbs, who until 1999 lived in the municipality of Srbica/Skenderaj, have sued the municipality, UNMIK and KFOR for damage caused to their property during 1999.

Delawie: US support KSF transformation (Koha)

The US Ambassador to Kosovo, Greg Delawie, said in an interview for RTK2 that his country supports transformation of the Kosovo Security Force (KSF) into Kosovo Armed Force (KAF). “Certainly the United States supports the transformation of Kosovo Security Force to the Kosovo Armed Forces. I think it’s important this transformation happens in a way that is Constitutional, that involves the interests of all communities of Kosovo. So, this is another issue, I think, that improved dialogue is very important between the communities.

Serb representatives with the delegation of Hungary (RTK2)

Serb representatives in the Kosovo institutions, Deputy Prime Minister Branimir Stojanović, Minister for Local Government Ljubomir Maric and Director of the Office of Community Affairs Ivan Tomić met the Foreign Minister of Hungary Péter Szijjártó and the Hungarian Ambassador László Márkusz.  and informed about the political situation in Kosovo.

Lavrov: Russia will not accept a revision of Resolution 1244 (RTK2, KoSSev)

Resolution 1244 must be respected to the maximum, said yesterday the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia Sergey Lavrov, adding that Russia accepts all the solutions and processes in relation to Kosovo.

"We show the solidarity with the Serbian friends, and we are against any attempts to unilaterally revise this Resolution," said Lavrov during a visit to Belgrade.

The mayors from northern Kosovo decided to terminate the communication and co-operation with KFOR until further notice, for organizing the visit of Prime Minister of Kosovo, Isa Mustafa and the ministers of Internal Affairs of Kosovo, Hyseni and security forces Haki Demolli on the occasion of the opening of the bridge over the Bistrica River near Leposavić/Leposaviq.

Councilor of the Municipality of North Mitrovica Igor Simić believes that this is the correct decision and the only possible one at the moment.
