Simić: We wanted a woman at the head of the ministry with a capacity (KIM radio)

The MPs of the Serbian List wanted to entrust a mandate to Mirjana Jevtić because they wanted a women from the Serbian community to be at the forefront of the ministry with a capacity, said Slavko Simić in a written statement.

"Mr Marić was before his dismissal, as Mr Mustafa said, due to poor coordination and cooperation of his ministry with local governments in Kosovo," said President of the Serbian List Slavko Simić in a written statement to the media.

President of the Serbian List Slavko Simić met with the head of the Department for the Western Balkans in the European Department of Foreign Affairs Eduard Auer.

''For me as the political representative of the Serbs in Kosovo is very important that I had the opportunity to first-hand inform decision makers in the influential countries about the problems that Serbs are facing here," Simić said in a statement.

Simić said that they talked about the political rights and position of the Serbian people in Kosovo, and frozen participation of the Serbian List in the government and the parliament.

Slavko Simić, the head of the parliamentary group of the Serbian List, said after the submission of the request that on the occasion of adoption of the Law on Trepča, Articles 79 and 81 of the Constitution of Kosovo were violated, which relate to the Serbian community in Kosovo.

Simić also announced that the Serbian list will submit a request for the assessment of the constitutionality of the Law on capital investments, which has been adopted on Tuesday.

The Kosovo Assembly did not adopt an amendment to the draft law on strategic investments proposed by the Serbian List which would protect the interests of Kosovo Serbs, it is said. It is expected that the amendment will be again on the agenda of some of the next sessions of Parliament.

President of the Serbian List, Slavko Simić says that there is a possibility that, due to the poor security situation, the MPs of Serbian List and members of the Kosovo government from the Serbian community will not attend today's session of the Assembly of Kosovo and the vote on the ratification of the agreement on the demarcation with Montenegro.
