Jevtic with OSCE and UNHCR representatives (KIM radio, Vecernje Novosti)

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Communities and Returns in Resignation Dalibor Jevtic talked to OSCE and UNHCR Heads of Mission in Kosovo, Erol Arduc and Jan Braathu.

Commission for Return and Community Affairs established (KIM Radio)

Inter-ministerial Commission for Return and Community Affairs was established yesterday, following the proposal of the Kosovo Minister for Return and Communities, Dalibor Jevtic, KIM Radio reported. By this decision two inter-ministerial commissions from the previous government were united, aiming to unite actions of the ministries in resolving the issues affecting the return process and the situation of non-majority communities in Kosovo. Minister Jevtic also underlined the importance of involvement of all relevant institutions, which can help solving the problems related to return process

Kosovo Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Communities and Returns, Dalibor Jevtic met yesterday with the German Ambassador in Kosovo, Christian Heldt and informed him about the issues Serb returnees are facing, including unemployment, arrests and usurped properties, KIM Radio reported.

Gjilan/Gnjilane municipality approves plan for displaced persons (Klan Kosova)

Gjilan/Gnjilane Municipality Committee for Communities approved on Tuesday the report of the Office for Communities and Returns for October and the municipal action plan for IDPs. Kemal Shahin, head of the Committee for Communities said the action plan confirms commitment of the municipality to provide a safe environment for the return of displaced persons and their socio-economic integration.

Displaced Serbs planning collective return to Gjakova/Djakovica (Koha)

Displaced Serbs from the municipality of Gjakova/Djakovica are planning to collectively return to the city during this year or the first half of the next, said their representative Djokica Stanojevic. “Individual return is a utopia and has not been successful for 16 years now,” said Stanojevic for the Belgrade news agency Beta. He added that the displaced persons from Gjakova/Djakovica are refusing individual returns.

Kosovo Deputy Interior Minister Milan Radojević said that he is concerned about the increased number of incidents and attacks on returnees’ areas, south of the Ibar / Ibër River, noting that the responsibility is on the Kosovo institutions. "If one check only the incidents in Paralovo that were happening during the course of previous months, we have a situation where a dozen of criminal charges were filed against some persons. However, there is no the reaction of judiciary. What kind of message is being sent?
