Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic told reporters ahead of the session of the Belgrade committee of the Socialist Party of Serbia (SPS) that it would be difficult to change the attitude of the great powers on the formation of Kosovo Army, but considers that it is important that at the session of the United Nations Security Council is heard that it is a violation of Resolution 1244, the only valid document regarding Kosovo, reported Radio Television of Serbia on Sunday evening (RTS).

The response of Bosnia-Herzegovina (BiH) to Pristina's 100% customs fees could be a request to exclude Kosovo from the CEFTA agreement, reports portal B92.

Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of Bosnia-Herzegovina Mirko Sarovic said, commenting on Pristina's measures, aimed also against goods from central Serbia, that there was no need to resort to countermeasures - but that BiH's response could be a request for the exclusion of Kosovo from agreements that guarantee free trade.

Endrit Shala, Kosovo’s Trade Minister, said late on Thursday he had suspended a Central European Free Trade (CEFTA) meeting because a representative from Serbia addressed Kosovo as Kosovo and Metohija, Belgrade's official name for its former province, despite being warned on several occasions not to do that, the Beta news agency reported.

Shala told Pristina’s T17 television that the 100 percent import tariffs Kosovo had introduced on goods from Serbia and Bosnia would remain in place as long as he was the minister.

Serbian media last night quoted the statement of the Government of Serbia on the CEFTA meeting held in Pristina last night. The statement reads:

Serbia’s Trade Minister said on Wednesday the European Union will have a last chance to explicitly call on Pristina to withdraw its decision on tariffs on December 17, during a meeting of the Standing Committee on Kosovo’s accession, the Beta news agency reported.

Rasim Ljajic told the Belgrade-based Pink television that “there were enough of appeals. Only the EU has mechanisms not just to pressure Pristina but to threaten it with the suspension of the Stabilisation and Association Agreement (SAA) and other documents.”

Serbian Prime Minister Ana Brnabic said the sole goal of Edi Rama's latest statements is political spin, and blaming Serbia for all the unreasonable decisions made in Pristina, RTS reports.

Reacting on statements Albanian PM Rama made in Croatia – who said that Serbia had "violated the CEFTA (free trade agreement) – Brnabic said she thought Rama was responsible but unfortunately was wrong.

Albania’s Prime Minister Edi Rama said the 100 percent tariffs imposed by Pristina on goods from Serbia are ''not normal, but the situation is not normal as well,'' regional broadcaster N1 reported.

''In normal conditions this would be a problem,'' Rama told reporters at a meeting of the Central European Initiative, adding that Serbia violated the Central European Free Trade Agreement (CEFTA).

Prime Minister Ana Brnabic has sent a formal request to the CEFTA Secretariat for direct consultations within the joint committee. Brnabic informed the citizens of Serbia on Tuesday evening that she did this on behalf of the government, and in accordance with the CEFTA (regional free trade agreement), the Serbian Government announced.

Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic and Prime Minister Ana Brnabic have asked China's Ambassador in Belgrade, Li Manchang to inform the Chinese leadership that Serbia “has never been in a more difficult situation.”

Ambassador Li responded to this by saying he will notify the President of China about the issue in the course of the day.

More than a week after the introduction of a 10% tax increase on products from Serbia and Bosnia and Hercegovina, the Kosovo government made a decision to completely ban imports of some products from Serbia. Kosovo Trade and Industry Minister, Endrit Shala also made a decision that the trade inspection should not allow the import and sale of products imported into Kosovo with the inscription ‘’Kosovo and Metohija“, „Kosovo UNMIK“ or „Kosovo Resolution 1244“.
