Drecun on President Vucic’s visit to Kosovo (RTS, BETA)

Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic during his visit to Kosovo on 8 and 9 September would inform people there how the dialogue with Albanians is ongoing and offer a framework of solution to the Kosovo issue, Chairperson of the Serbian Assembly Committee for Kosovo and Metohija, Milovan Drecun told RTS.

“He would, the most probably, offer a framework of the solution the way he sees it and listen to the opinion of Serb representatives there, to open a discussion in order to know how to move forward,” Drecun added.

"Vucic, Thaci to face most contentious, disruptive topics" (Stratfor, Tanjug, B92)

"Ethnic tensions and nationalistic fervor" continue "just under the surface of the relative calm that has endured in the Western Balkans over the past decade."

The Stratfor organization, which Tanjug quoted in a a report and described as dealing with geopolitical analyses, also states "one of the most contentious topics on the agenda of the coming negotiations is the creation of a Community of Serb Municipalities," known in Serbian by its "ZSO" acronym.

The ZSO, Stratfor continues, is an idea "broached in 2013, but little progress in implementing it has been made since."

Although political figures in high-ranking state posts often mentioned various deadlines and suggested dates for a final solution, given the current situation in both Belgrade and Pristina, their eyes are more than ever on the EU.

Exchange of territories is wrong idea (KIM Radio)

Rada Trajkovic and Nexhmedin Spahiu took part in the RTV Kim talk show Sporazum. During the show Spahiu said “it’s a high time for an agreement between Belgrade and Pristina to be reached, while Trajkovic opined that in her view “the solution is the continuation of negotiations, elections and a new team that would not offer delimitation as an option”.

Joksimovic: If there is no solution, there would be no status quo (Tanjug)

Director of the Centre for Foreign Policy, Aleksandra Joksimovic told Tanjug news agency that Belgrade-Pristina negotiations are entering the final phase and the picture would be clearer in September whether there would be a legally binding agreement on normalization of relations between the two sides.

According to Joksimovic it goes in no one’s favour to prolong the resolution of the Kosovo issue.

Hahn without answer on "territory exchange", but mentions new deadline (B92, RFE)

EU Commissioner Johannes Hahn did not directly reply to RFE's question regarding the idea of "delimitation" to solve the Kosovo issue.
