Russia does not support "delimitation" as Kosovo solution (B92)

Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova says Moscow does not support "delimitation" as the solution to the Kosovo problem.

The idea was floated earlier by Serbian Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic, while President Aleksandar Vucic on Thursday revealed this was "his policy" on the issue.

Asked about the position of Russia in terms of demarcation, Zaharova responded by asking: "You will not have a problem with that?"

The DSS has assessed that President Aleksandar Vucic’s policy favoring "delineation" with the Albanians represents an unconstitutional activity.

The opposition party - which recently announced it was leaving all local-level coalition with Vucic's ruling DSS - said in a press release on Thursday that such an idea implies advocating in favor of changing Serbia's state borders, and in favor of renouncing a part of the country's territory.

Democratic Party of Serbia (DSS) said today that President Aleksandar Vucic with a statement “that he pledges for delineation with Albanians,” and “it is the politics he represent” is acting contrary to the Constitution of the Republic of Serbia, since it envisages changes of Serbian borders and renouncing part of its territory to the benefit of Kosovo secessionists, Danas daily reported.

Djuric, Selakovic visit Mitrovica North (KoSSev, media)

Director of Office for Kosovo Marko Djuric said yesterday during the meeting in Mitrovica North that Serbs from Kosovo and Metohija regardless of what is happening in the future, would be safer and would have greater support from the Serbian state, media reported.

Djuric added he is proud of the unity of Serbian List and Serbian people, stressing that in difficult and uncertain times, the unity of Serbian people in Kosovo and Metohija was reached. He pointed out “it will not be allowed that the north of KiM is not in Serbia,” and that “we will remain persistent and united”.

Colonel Nick Ducich: I expect no incidents (Radio kontakt plus)

Commander of KFOR Multi-National Brigade East and US base in Kosovo Bondsteel, Colonel Nick Ducich told Kontakt plus radio the current security situation in Kosovo is peaceful and stable. He expects no incidents but pointed out that KFOR was ready to handle anything that might be considered as provocation.

When asked if the allegations published by some media are true, that KFOR is training Kosovo Security Forces (KSF), Ducich said that KFOR was training KSF, but only within the framework of KFOR’s mandate and the US as a country, in terms of the key competencies.

Leader of People’s Party (NS) Vuk Jeremic commented on Twitter, the statement Prime Minister Ana Brnabic made yesterday that Serbian Government does not have an official stand on Kosovo at this moment, B92 reported.

“A creature, who by set of extraordinary, unfortunate circumstances found herself at the helm of the Serbian Government, dared to say in relation to Kosovo “that we have no official stand on it now.” She recently told German media that “Kosovo used to be Serbia.” Shameless vermin,” Jeremic wrote on his Twitter profile.
