Kosovo granted full recognition by FIBA (dailies)

Kosovo has been accepted as the 215th member federation of the International Basketball Federation (FIBA).  The decision, taken during the FIBA's Executive Committee meeting in Geneva, sees the governing body become the latest to formally approve Kosovo's membership after the International Olympic Committee (IOC) granted full recognition to the Kosovo Olympic Committee at its Session in Monte Carlo in December. FIBA Europe will now work towards incorporating the national teams of the Kosovo Basketball Federation (KBF) into its competitions

World basketball's governing body FIBA has granted Kosovo full membership amid Serbia's request to make sure that clubs or national teams from the two countries never meet at any level.

Rrahman Rama, KSF commander (Tribuna)

The current General of the Kosovo Security Force (KSF), Rrahman Rama, will be the future commander of the of KSF. He is expected to take over his mandate on 15 March. Minister of Kosovo Security Force, Haki Demolli, said that the change is happening because the current KSF Commander, Kadri Kastrati, will retire on 15 March. According to Demolli, Rama fulfills all the criteria to lead KSF.

The government has endorsed the request of Minister Demolli, proposing to the President to nominate Rama.
