Belgrade based daily Danas reports that Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic, at a meeting with US Deputy Secretary of State for Political Affairs David Hale, said that the Platform for Dialogue is essentially Pristina's decision to end the dialogue with Belgrade.

Prime Minister Ana Brnabic announced that on Sunday, she, President Aleksandar Vucic and Foreign Affairs Minister Ivica Dacic would meet Serbian Orthodox Church Patriarch Irinej to discuss about the situation in Kosovo and Metohija, Tanjug news agency reported.

“On Sunday at 7.30 we would meet with the Patriarch Irinej and Serbian Orthodox Church Synod to discuss about the situation in Kosovo and Metohija since the dialogue is stopped,” Brnabic told journalists following the session of the Serbian Council for National Security this morning.

Dusan Janjic from Forum for Interethnic Relations said yesterday that Pristina by adopting the platform and establishing a political team is a step ahead of Belgrade, while Serbian authorities should ask themselves why they have not made such a document, Danas daily reports.

For the third time, about a hundred of Kosovo Serbs gathered in the divided town of Mitrovica for #1in5million protests and walked to the place where their opposition leader Oliver Ivanovic was riddled with bullets on January 16, 2018, the portal KoSSev reported.

They were joined for the first time by activists of the Popular “Fatherland” Movement and members of the Alliance for Serbia (SzS) opposition group.

Dacic did not specify which countries he claimed are playing games because they don’t want to see Belgrade and Pristina reach an agreement quickly, adding that he does not believe the United States are playing that game.

He told reporters in Belgrade he is looking forward to a visit by a US delegation, headed by State Department official David Hale, because it will be an opportunity to pass on Serbia’s views.

Belgrade-based daily Blic writes that at this time, in Kosovo, "US interests on one hand, and those of great powers on the other" are clashing.

According to the paper, against the position of the United States stands, first and foremost, Great Britain. The United States is in favor of Belgrade and Pristina reaching an agreement, while the British, according to the newspaper, are openly working against a deal.

Member of opposition Alliance for Serbia (SzS) Dveri Movement MPs Bosko Obradovic and Marija Janusevic raised the banners saying, “No Division, No Surrender”, “You Betrayed Kosovo” and “Kosovo is Serbia” at the beginning of a meeting of the Serbian National Assembly Committee for Kosovo and Metohija, BETA news agency reported. The banners also included “One in Five Million” slogan used by the civic protests across Serbia.

US Under Secretary of State David Hale says that "there is a chance that a comprehensive solution will be achieved this year, but only if the dialogue is resumed first".

He also pointed out that this solution must contribute to long-term stability in the region.
