Rakic: Serbian government’s assistance an example of how to fight for Kosovo (KiM radio)

President of the Serbian List and the Mayor of North Mitrovica Goran Rakic thanked Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic, Prime Minister Ana Brnabic and Director of the Office for KiM Marko Djuric for the support they provided, reports KIM radio.

Rakic said that the projects, approved yesterday in support of the economic prosperity of Serbs in Kosovo, would significantly improve the lives of Serbs in Kosovo, adding that “this is also an example on how to fight for KiM, for the Serbian people living down there”.

Goran Rakic, president of the Serbian List, says that the Serbs from Kosovo are eagerly awaiting the arrival of President Aleksandar Vucic and his address, and that bearing in mind the interest of Serb people from all over Kosovo, Rakic is sure that this will be the greatest welcome of the President of Serbia since 1989 in Gazimestan.

Chairperson of Srpska Lista, Goran Rakic told Vecernje Novosti daily Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic would come to Kosovo in September in order to present his stance on the Kosovo issue.

Rakic added, beforehand President Vucic would consult with Srpska Lista representatives. Rakic said President Vucic always consults with them, and now tries to ensure the Kosovo issue to be resolved in a manner that provide for Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija better life and security.

The leader of Srpska Lista, Goran Rakic has expressed support on Tuesday for the Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic’s efforts to resolve the Kosovo issue and called the opposition to end its “witch hunt” against the head of state.

Rakic told a news conference in Mitrovica North that the Serbian opposition should leave the Kosovo issue to those who enjoy support from the people. “The fate of the Kosovo Serbs will be decided by the people who won 90 percent support at the latest elections.”

Goran Rakic, President of Serbian List issued a statement, as a reaction to the announcements related to Kadri Veseli’s construction plans for “new Mitrovica”, Serbian media reports.

“Kadri Veseli can build towers and towns in the Serbian land only over our dead bodies and I warn him not to try something like that. We did not allow the tanks across the Ibar, on which Veseli’s comrades drove, and thus we will not allow his excavators.''
