Vasilije Bojic arrested in Mitrovica North on Wednesday released (BETA, B92)

Vasilije Bojic, son of North Regional Police Operations Chief Zeljko Bojic, arrested by Kosovo police on Wednesday morning has been released after giving a statement, BETA news agency reports.

The case against him goes in regular procedure. According to Pristina-based media he was arrested in a car-wash facility that Bojic owns in Rudare village, in the north of Kosovo on Pristina-Leposavic highway and he was found in possession of a weapon.

Exhibition in Mitrovica North cancelled, painter prohibited to enter Kosovo with the paintings (Kosovo online)  

Art exhibition of an academic painter Suzana Stojadinovic planned to take place last night at the Faculty of Arts in Mitrovica North has been cancelled, because the artist was not allowed to bring her paintings to Kosovo at the Jarinje crossing point, Kosovo-online portal reports.

In a statement to the portal Stojadinovic said she was appalled by what she has experienced at the Jarinje crossing point.

RTS: ROSU intrusion in north of Kosovo, two persons arrested (Serbian media)

Serbian national broadcaster RTS reported today that more than 25 armored vehicles and SUVs of Kosovo special police unit ROSU and around 100 police members entered the north of Kosovo and arrested two persons.

According to the Kosovo police two persons were arrested in Mitrovica North, one police officer in connection with the murder of Oliver Ivanovic and another person who was found in possession of weapon.

Belgrade based daily Danas reports that police in Pristina yesterday seized two mobile phones without a reason from a member of the Central Election Commission, a representative of the Serb List, Stevan Veselinovic.

Daily Danas reports, quoting Kosovo based portal Kosovo online, that that his lawyer, Negovan Saranovic, explained that the allegations made by some Pristina media were incorrect that Veselinovic had recorded the vote counting in the premises of the Ministry of Infrastructure by phone.

Serbs face stark and brutal discrimination, says Director of the office for KiM (RTS, B92, KIM radio, RTK2)

Director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija Marko Djuric said Serbs face stark and brutal discrimination ahead of Kosovo elections.

He pointed out that the only way to combat discrimination is to achieve a massive turnout in the October 6th elections.

Djuric told RTS that the Serbian List was forbidden to say "Serbia is calling," and others are not punished for saying that "Serbian List is a monster."

An Albanian flag was placed this morning at an annex of a building under construction, which houses King Milutin Elementary School, as well as Medicine high school and Engineering and Traffic high school, Director of the Engineering Traffic High School told KoSSev portal.

RTS crew held up at Jarinje crossing allowed to enter Kosovo, UNS condemns delayed entry (KoSSev, RTS)

A large group of RTS crew members travelling to Mitrovica North was held up at Jarinje crossing point yesterday RTS reported. According to RTS its convoy with equipment has been waiting at Jarinje for 20 hours despite paperwork dully submitted. After the delay the convoy entered Kosovo.

Meanwhile, KoSSev portal reports that both Kosovo police and customs claimed they are “not responsible.“

Kosovo police arrested last week 8 Czech citizens seizing a drone and several flags. Kosovo media soon reported that the group allegedly planned to fly a drone with the inscription “Kosovo is Serbia“ at the World Cup qualifying match between the Czech Republic and Kosovo, KoSSev portal reports.

Goran Rakic: Cowardly assault of Albanian hooligans is unacceptable (Kosovo-online)

Srpska Lista Chair Goran Rakic has reacted to the stabbing of a young Serb boy in Mitrovica North, Kosovo-online portal reports.

“Cowardly assault on underage Serbian boy D.B. by a group of Albanian hooligans who came to the northern part of Mitrovica from the southern part of the city is absolutely unacceptable, illegal and shameful,” Mitrovica North Mayor Goran Rakic has said last night.
