SNS premises in Leposavić stoned (KoSSev)

Premises of the Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) in Leposavić/Leposaviq were stoned last night buy a person who was later identified, Kosovo Police Head of Operations in the north, Zeljko Bojic, told KoSSev. Stoning was strongly condemned by the provincial branch of the Democratic Party of Serbia, whereas the SNS did not issue any communique so far in relation with the incident.

The DSS branch in Kosovo communicated that differences political stands should not serve as a justification for violence.

Kosovo Police arrested Vetevendosje member and Albanian citizen, Arber Zaimi today. According to a Vetevendosje movement post on Facebook, he was arrested only for being from Albania. “As it appears, the government of Kosovo is determined to expel every citizen of the Republic of Albania from Kosovo, and is equally as determined to facilitate Serbia’s legal and illegal interventions.

Car owned by Serb burned in Mitrovica (TV most)

In the northern part of Mitrovica, early this morning, a vehicle with Mitrovica license plates was burned. The fire spread to another car, confirmed the chief of KPS operations for north Željko Bojić to TV Most. "At 4:53 it was reported to the police station in Mitrovica that the fire engulfed a passenger vehicle owned by a Serb in Lole Ribara street. The team went to the scene, as well as members of fire fighting units that localized fire," Bojic said. According to Bojic's words the fire caused major material damage.

Based on the order of the Pristina Basic Court, the Kosovo Police raided a house today in “Fazli Grajqevci” street in Fushe Kosove/Kosovo Polje, and arrested Alket Zeqiri, under suspicion of setting an official vehicle on fire. “A.Z., male, 26, is a citizen of the Republic of Kosovo, and suspect in a case which took place on 24.02.2016 at around 12:00 hours, at “Sejdi Kryeziu” street in Pristina, where a blue Hyundai vehicle was set on fire and was considerably damaged,” noted Kosovo Police.

Four EULEX vehicles damaged in Mitrovica (Koha Ditore)

Kosovo Police in Mitrovica declared today that four official EULEX vehicles were damaged during the night of 17 March, at around 00:30 hours, at the EULEX parking lot.

Kosovo Police visited the site and stressed that damages were made in the form of scratches and broken window glass. The case has been initiated and it is being investigated as “damage of property.”

Police arrest person suspected of funding Kosovar recruits for ISIS (Insajderi/Koha)

Pristina-based Insajderi news site reports that Kosovo Police arrested a businessman this morning from Peja/Pec, Fatos Rizvanolli, a key suspect who is believed to have funded the travel expenses of Kosovar recruits for ISIS. Police issued a communiqué saying that it has also conducted raids in Rizvanolli’s businesses and properties in Pristina and Peja. Koha reports that police arrested another suspect, in the region of Prizren on Tuesday, who is suspected of being involved in funding or facilitating terrorism.

Police arrest person connected to Molotov attack on PM Mustafa’s house (Telegrafi)

Kosovo Police issued a press release saying that a person connected to the Molotov cocktail attack on Prime Minister Isa Mustafa’s house was arrested last night. According to the police, the suspect was part of a group of masked persons that threw Molotov cocktails at the police and Mustafa’s house during the opposition protest on 26 February. The suspect is reported to be Kushtrim Avdimetaj, member of Vetevendosje.

Caffier: Kosovo needs to become INTERPOL member (RTKlive)

The Interior Minister of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Federal Republic of Germany, Lorenz Caffier, promised Germany’s engagement in Kosovo’s INTERPOL and EUROPOL membership. He made these comments after a meeting with Kosovo’s Minister of Interior, Skender Hyseni, during which they discussed the repatriation of Kosovo emigrants. Minister Caffier said that Kosovo has continuously supported Germany on repatriation. “Now repatriation will depend on the work of the Federal Office for migration in Germany.

Kosovo Police with a clear lead on the Molotov attacks (Kosovapress)

Kosovo’s Interior Minister Skender Hyseni said the Kosovo Police is pursuing several clear leads regarding the recent Molotov cocktail attacks on the government institutions and vehicles. Hyseni did not give any more details due to the ongoing investigations but noted that the use of violence as a means to an aim is unacceptable.
