Vulin: Thaci's statement is the killing of dialogue (KIM radio, TV Pink)

Statement by Hashim Thaci that Community/Association of Serbian municipalities (ZSO) will not be formed is the best test for the authority of the European Union, said Aleksandar Vulin, Serbian Minister of Defense, reports KIM radio, quoting Belgrade based TV Pink.

According to Vulin, if this statement goes without sanctions, it will mean that the EU is leaving the Western Balkans both in diplomatic and security terms.

Serbs from Zubin Potok announce lawsuits against police (RTS)

Public broadcaster RTS reported that the Zubin Potok municipality started to make an assessment of damages made during the action of Kosovo special police ROSU units in this municipality on Wednesday.

“We will file lawsuits against them to all possible legal and judicial bodies. We will use the legal tools, hire lawyers, because it is simply unimaginable that we do nothing regarding so many mistreatments and endangerment of the Serbs in Zubin Potok,” mayor Srdjan Vulovic told RTS.

RTS also brings testimonies of the people affected and injured during the ROSU action.

Stefanovic: The state of full combat readiness continues; not true that KFOR informed us (RTS)

Serbian Interior Minister Nebojsa Stefanovic spoke this morning for the RTS morning news where he said that the army of Serbia and the police remain in full combat readiness, following the Kosovo special forces incursion in the North of Kosovo. Stefanovic adds it will remain so if there are estimations that it is necessary.

Speaking about KFOR's allegations that Belgrade was informed of the action, the minister said it was an attempt to make a spin and that it was absolutely incorrect.

Vucic visits Russian UN staffer injured in Pristina's raid (B92)

Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic has visited a Russian member of the UN mission in Kosovo, UNMIK, injured on Tuesday during a Kosovo police raid in the North. The president wanted to know about Mikhail Krasnoshchekov's health.

The Russian citizen is currently receiving medical treatment in Belgrade's military clinic VMA.
Krasnoshchekov, who received serious injuries, was transported to Belgrade from Mitrovica North, where he was treated in the intensive care unit.

Pellegrini: I have expected stronger EU reaction to ROSU intrusion (Tanjug, B92)

Slovakia Prime Minister Peter Pellegrini, who is paying an official visit to Serbia said he expected stronger EU and its member-states reaction to the Kosovo special police unit intrusion to the north of Kosovo, B92 reports.

He also noted, Slovakia as an EU member is very concerned because Pristina does not fulfill its obligations deriving from the Brussels agreement, but also because of the lack of a strong reaction to the provocations by Albanian side and the latest ROSU action in the north.

Bishop Teodosije visited people injured in police action in north (Radio KIM)

Raska-Prizren Eparchy Bishop Teodosije visited yesterday people injured in Kosovo police special unit action, who are staying in Mitrovica North Clinical Centre, Radio KIM reports.

Bishop Teodosije thanked the doctors and medical professionals there for their efforts to help those injured. He also wished them a speedy recovery.

Bishop Teodosije in particular spent the time with UNMIK member Mikhail Krasnoshchekov who was beaten up and injured.

Fabrizi on EU reaction, police action in north of Kosovo (Tanjug, B92)

Head of the EU Delegation to Serbia, Sem Fabrizi said it is not accurate that the EU did not react regarding police action in the northern Kosovo on Thursday, adding everything that happened is yet another evidence the dialogue is the only way to resolve the problems, Tanjug news agency reported.

Vucic, Grasso exchange comments on action in north (Tanjug, B92, TV Pink)

Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said KFOR spokesperson Vincenzo Grasso with his latest statement confirmed KFOR did not inform official Belgrade about what is being prepared and happening, Tanjug news agency reported.

Grasso said earlier that anyone reading the newspapers was informed about the action. He added there were no activities directed against the Serbs on Thursday, but it was about “legitimate police units conducting the operation, that resulted in arrests of civilians and police officers of different ethnic background.”

Russian Investigative Committee probing attack on Russian UN employee in Kosovo (TASS, Serbian media)

The Russian Investigative Committee has launched a pre-investigation probe into the attack on Russian UN employee Mikhail Krasnoshchekov in Kosovo, the press service of the committee told TASS agency, Serbian media report.

"The main office of the Russian Investigative Committee has launched a probe into the incident that happened with the Russian national Mikhail Krasnoshchekov, an employee of the United Nations Interim Administration Mission in Kosovo (UNMIK)," the press service said.

Serb female border police officer arrested in Velji Breg, Zubin Potok (Tanjug)

Kosovo police has arrested a Serb female border police officer B.T. from the village of Velji Breg in Zubin Potok municipality, Tanjug news agency reported.

She was arrested by regular police from the south. She was arrested in the premises of the Red Cross and Centre for Sports Development located at Gazivode lake, while visiting her son who works there.
