Edita Tahiri, Kosovo’s Minister without portfolio engaged in the dialogue between Pristina and Belgrade in Brussels, told Radio Free Europe today that due to the administrative delays, Kosovo authorities did not manage to start with the implementation of the agreement for full reciprocity on the license plates between Kosovo and Serbia and remove the so-called “proba” license plates which were implemented unilaterally by the Serbian party since 2011. According to her, today is the due date for implementation of the agreement. “It did not start yet.

Kosovo’s Minister for Dialogue, Edita Tahiri, told the news website that the new round of talks between Pristina and Belgrade will be held on November 16-17. “Discussions will focus on the freedom of movement, namely we will report on the implementation of the agreement on the reciprocity of license plates,” Tahiri said. “At the meeting, we will also discuss on other elements of the agreement, namely removing the ‘Proba’ license plates and to see how far the agreement has been implemented”.

Kosovo’s Minister for Dialogue, Edita Tahiri, said today that Kosovo is a promoter of peace and good neighborly relations in the region. “We are proving this through the dialogue for good neighborly relations with Serbia which goes to the benefit of peace and stability in the region and Kosovo’s approximation with Euro-Atlantic structures,” Tahiri said after meeting the new head of the Belgium office in Pristina, Jean-Louis Servais.

The opposition parties in Kosovo, the Vetevendosje Movement, the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo (AAK) and Initiative for Kosovo (NISMA) have not welcomed a proposal by Kosovo’s Minister for Dialogue, Edita Tahiri, to have a “Unity Team” for the third round of talks with Belgrade. Vetevendosje and NISMA officials are claiming that Tahiri’s proposal implies new concessions vis-à-vis Serbia, while the AAK believes that the format of talks is more important than the representation.

The Serbian government will hold an urgent session on Thursday regarding "the scandalous demands" presented by the representative of Pristina, Beta reported.

The head of the Serbian Government Office for Kosovo and Metohija Marko Djuric announced this late on Wednesday, saying he had briefed Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic on these new conditions for resuming the Belgrade-Pristina dialogue.

They were presented by Edita Tahiri, a minister without portfolio in the government in Pristina.

Kosovo inherited a political practice, where Serbs accept everything served, emphasized Deputy Prime Minister Branimir Stojanović, adding that this has to stop. He says that he informed EU officials about the position of Serbs.

Kosovo’s Minister without portfolio, Edita Tahiri, reacted today to statements made by Eduard Kukan, Member of the European Parliament, who said that Trepca is an important issue and must be solved through the Pristina-Belgrade dialogue. Tahiri told the news site that Trepca issue will not be discussed in Brussels. “Mr. Kukan’s statement does not correspond to reality. Despite that he comes from a country that has not recognized Kosovo, he should have known this because also Slovakia is a new state,” Tahiri said.

The head of the Serbian negotiating team Tanja Mišćević says, at the session of the parliamentary committee for European integration, that there were no changes in negotiating positions of the EU on Chapter 35.

Marko Djuric says it is "impermissible" for Edita Tahiri's report on Brussels agreement implementation to be included in the Chapter 35 negotiating framework.

Tahiri is a minister in the Kosovo government, in charge of the ongoing Belgrade-Pristina dialogue, while the chapter in question, a part of Serbia's EU accession negotiations, relates to Kosovo.
