Selimi: I offered resignation from the position of Deputy Minister (Lajmi.net)

Former Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs, Petrit Selimi, has expressed his revolt regarding the government decision to dismiss him from the position of the national coordinator of the Millennium Challenges Corporation, considering it as unjustifiable and illegal. He said that he has offered his resignation from the position of the Deputy Foreign Minister in order to avoid conflict of interest. He believes that today’s decision will be annulled.

The Kosovo government has annulled its decision made on May 13 whereby Petrit Selimi, Deputy Foreign Minister, was appointed as national coordinator of the Millennium Challenges Corporation. Government of Kosovo postpones sending border demarcation agreement to Assembly (Telegrafi)

Prime Minister of Kosovo, Isa Mustafa, said in today’s meeting of the government that the draft law for ratification of the border demarcation agreement with Montenegro will not be immediately sent to the Assembly for approval in order to give more time for the issue to be discussed with MPs and the public. Deputy Prime Minister of Kosovo, Hajredin Kuçi, stated that messages of the Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs at the United States Department, Victoria Nuland, on the demarcation issue, are good for the government. “Those messages will be taken seriously by the government,” Kuçi said. Deputy Prime Minister of Kosovo, Hajredin Kuçi, said during the introduction of the future Minister of Justice, that “we will use each opportunity to find a consensus on proceeding the agreement further.”

Government to submit demarcation deal to Assembly on Wednesday (RTV Dukagjini)

The Prime Minister of Kosovo Isa Mustafa, has requested from the Assembly to vote the draft-law on extension of EULEX's mandate, being that this would help on strengthening the justice in Kosovo.

During the plenary session which is going on right now, Mustafa expressed the position of the government and of the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK), on extension of the EULEX’s mandate in Kosovo.
