Blic: Haradinaj scheduled secret meetings, Hague to open "Yellow House" case? (B92)

After the hearing at The Hague Court outgoing Kosovo Prime Minister Haradinaj arranged secret meetings with his commanders of former KLA's operational zone Pastrik brigade, Belgrade-based Blic daily reports.  According to the daily the prosecutor in The Hague had interrogated Haradinaj for an hour, and he refused to answer to his questions.

Blic further writes referring to its sources that during the conflict everything outside the Albanian border could not have happened without the approval of Haradinaj, as this was the part of the region under his control.

Shaban Berisha got three-month suspended sentence for demolishing memorial plaque to missing journalists (BETA, KoSSev)

Shaban Berisha (47) received three-month suspended sentence and EUR 200 fine over demolishing the memorial plaque dedicated to the missing journalists Djuro Slavuj and Ranko Penezic, while ethnic motives were excluded from the verdict, Association of Journalists of Serbia (UNS) said in a statement.

The verdict made by the Basic Court in Djakovica is not given to us yet, so it remains unclear if the prosecution gave up on the qualification of a criminal act as ethnically motivated, although the suspected person admitted it was a reason to demolish the plaque, UNS added.

Thaci again pokes Belgrade in the eye (B92, Vecernje Novosti)

Announcing the concept of a meeting with the Serbian delegation in Paris on July 1, Kosovo President Hashim Thaci has once again "poked Belgrade in the eye," Belgrade based daily Vecernje Novosti write today.

Daily write that he announced he would present at the talks hosted by French President Emamnuel Macron the idea that Presevo, Bujanovac and Medvedja join the "territory of the Republic of Kosovo." It would be, he considered, "correcting the historical injustice," Novosti reports.

Is Serbia preparing counter-resolution for Pristina? (Tanjug, Prva TV)

Milovan Drecun has announced the possibility of Serbia's counter-resolution, in response to Pristina's recent resolution accusing Serbia of "genocide."

Drecun (member of the ruling Serbian Progressive Party), who chairs the National Assembly's Committee on Kosovo and Metohija, told Prva TV on Monday that he would discuss holding a special session dedicated to Albanian crimes in Kosovo with the Assembly's president.

Of the 11 indictments taken over by Kosovo courts from EULEX, three are against retired generals: Bozidar Delic, Ljubisa Dikovic, and Momir Stojanovic.

Kosovo courts have taken over war crimes cases from EULEX, and apart from the crimes committed by the KLA ("Kosovo Liberation Army") against Serbs, they will also deal with crimes against the Albanians that the Serbs are suspected of committing.

Serbian Interior Minister Nebojsa Stefanovic told reporters in Belgrade that only on a ground of doubt that Vladimir Mikula, who is on the list of judges of the Special Court for KLA crimes, had dinner with lawyer Arianit Koci, who defends former KLA members Rrustem Mustafa and Sami Lushtaku, must lead to his exemption.

Mustafa and Lushtaku were summoned to a hearing at the Special Prosecutor's Office in The Hague.

Albanians chant "KLA" after victory in Montenegro (B92, Sputnik)

A flag of the KLA ("Kosovo Liberation Army") was unfurled in Tuzi, near Podgorica, on Sunday. This happened as a coalition of Albanian parties celebrated victory achieved in elections in this Montenegrin municipality, Sputnik is reporting this Monday.

Montenegrin media, meanwhile, said that those who gathered to celebrate also chanted the acronym of this terrorist organization, as heard in footage sent to the website Volim Podgoricu ("I Love Podgorica"), the agency added.

Moscow comments on crimes committed in Kosovo by KLA (Tanjug, Sputnjik, B92)

Moscow says that in the investigation into the cases of kidnapping people for illegal organ trafficking in Kosovo has yielded no results. Sputnik is reporting this on Thursday.

Spokeswoman of the Russian Foreign Affairs Ministry Maria Zakharova reminded at a regular briefing for journalists that "in 2017, a special court (Specialist Chambers) were set up under the auspices of the European Union to investigate the crimes of the Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA) including, among others, the abduction of people for the subsequent sale of their organs in the black market."

Drecun: KLA leaders should be indicted, not witnesses (Tanjug, RTS)

Chairman of the Serbian Assembly Committee for Kosovo and Metohija, Milovan Drecun thinks that the first group of former KLA commanders, who are supposed to go to The Hague, should be indicted, and not on the list of witnesses, Tanjug news agency reports.

“According to me, those invited now, are rather candidates to be indicted than becoming witnesses, but perhaps some of them could be a protected witness,” Drecun said.

Kosovo Assembly Deputy Speaker, Xhavit Haliti said that those whose names were mentioned in the Dick Marty’s report could be invited to appear before the Specialist Court, if there are evidences, BETA news agency reported.

Haliti made these remarks for KTV, adding he expects the Specialist Court would invite all persons mentioned in the Swiss Senator Dick Marty’s report, adopted by the Council of Europe, if there are evidences.
