Scott: I hope the compromise between Belgrade and Pristina will be reached ''perhaps this year'' (RTS)

US Ambassador to Serbia Kyle Scott told Radio Television Serbia (RTS) that the dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina should enter a more intensive phase and expresses the hope that the compromise will be reached "perhaps even this year".

Scott told RTS that neither Belgrade nor Pristina will get everything they want, but that it is important that both sides come to a compromise.

Air pollution in Pristina crosses red line (Koha Ditore)

It said that although the outcome of yesterday’s vote denying Kosovo UNESCO membership was disappointing, it is neither a statement on Kosovo’s independence, nor a reflection of its position in the world.  “In fact, the U.S. Embassy in Pristina is encouraged by the 92 yes votes, which demonstrate Kosovo’s importance on the international stage.
