Limaj leaves open possible coalition with PDK (RTK)

Fatmir Limaj, leader of the Initiative for Kosovo (Nisma), said his party has reached its objectives in the parliamentary elections and that they will be a strong voice for the people of Kosovo and they will defend their will.

Asked about a possible coalition with the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK), Limaj told reporters that he does not know what coalitions will be formed and that election results would have to be certified first.

Bodies of 45 victims exhumed from Raska mass grave (RTK)

Work is ongoing at the location of the mass grave in Rudnica (Raska) in Serbia. 40 bodies of victims and other bodily remains have been discovered at the location. According to a report by Kosovo’s Forensics Department, the number of victims exhumed has now reached 45. Forensics Department chief Arsim Gerxhaliu said most of the mortal remains were found in the northern part of the mass grave.

General elections, a barometer of state maturity (RTKlive)

Based on the up to date campaign, the general elections to be held on 8 June, are the most represented and dynamic in the 15 year history of the free elections in Kosovo, and as such, they will be under a close monitoring of the population and the international community. This will be another test for the Central Election Commission to prove that the success of the local elections was not a coincidence, but a maturity of this institution to manage challenges represented by the elections in Kosovo.

Kosovo to attend Central European Initiative summit in Vienna (RTK)

Kosovo will attend the meeting of the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the Central European Initiative in Vienna today. Attending will be 18 foreign ministers and senior representatives from the European Commission, the Council of Europe and other regional organizations and institutions. Kosovo’s delegation is led by Foreign Minister Enver Hoxhaj.

Djuric to visit Kosovo today (RTKlive)

Marko Djuric, nominated a few days ago for the Director of the Office for Kosovo, will visit Kosovo today. According to the Government of Serbia, he is expected to visit Gracanica Monastery, where he will meet with Raska and Prizren Bishop, Teodosije. Djuric, who has replaced Aleksandar Vulin in this position, will also meet officials of the local government in Graçanicë/Gracanica. After the meeting with the mayors of northern municipalities with Serb majority, Djuric will travel to Zubin Potok to participate at “Days of Sport” event.
