Vetevendosje: Holding Serbian elections in Kosovo, Mustafa’s failure (Gazeta Blic)

Vetevendosje movement assessed that eventual holding of Serbia’s elections of 24 April in Kosovo, are yet another failure of the Prime Minister Isa Mustafa.

Glauk Konjufca from Vetevendosje, said at a press conference that holding these elections in Kosovo is in contradiction with the Constitution of Kosovo.

Haxhiu calls AAK and NISMA hypocrites (Kosovapress)

Vetevendosje movement MP, Albulena Haxhiu, accused on her Facebook page the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo (AAK), and the Initiative for Kosovo (NISMA). Even though she did not mention these two parties, Haxhiu’s reaction came after the statements of the officials of AAK and NISMA that they do not have any red lines with regards to the governing coalitions.

Police escorts Visar Ymeri to court (Koha Ditore)

Kosovo Police escorted leader of the Vetevendosje movement Visar Ymeri, to court, for the session on the case of fighting with the MP of the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK), Bekim Haxhiu.

Visar Ymeri, MP Rexhep Selimi, former MP Florin Krasniqi and driver, Besart Bujupi, are accused to have physically attacked Bekim Haxhiu known as Kamishi in 2012, in front of the Kosovo Assembly facilities.

Vetevendosje activists release teargas during Thaci’s inauguration ceremony (Koha/RTK)

Despite the security measures taken by the police during the inauguration ceremony of President Hashim Thaci, unknown individuals released several canisters of teargas near Skenderbeu square where the ceremony took place. Kosovo Police arrested five individuals connected to the incident. In a press release, the Vetevendosje movement claimed responsibility for the incident. “Hashim Thaci is not and never will be President of the Republic of Kosovo. He was elected as a result of blackmail and compromises.

Vetevendosje activists threw stones at Assembly building (Koha)

Vetevendosje activists today threw stones at the Kosovo Assembly building as new President Hashim Thaci’s was being sworn in. Kosovo Police arrested two individuals related to this incident. Vetevendosje Movement through a press release claimed responsibility for the incident. “Two Vetevendosje activists, Egzon Balaj and Atdhe Arifi were arrested today during the Assembly’s solemn session. Vetevendosje does not recognize Hashim Thaci as Kosovo President and for this matter our activists tried to impede the session,” reads the press release.

Konjufca: The international commission for demarcation, the same as Kosovo’s state commission (Koha)

Head of the Vetevendosje parliamentary group, Glauk Konjuvca, held today a press conference regarding the findings of the international commission for demarcation of the border between Kosovo and Montenegro. He said that the commission used Murat Meha’s material, and added that the findings are the same as those of the Kosovo state Commission. “We have announced on 15 March that if this commission uses Murat Meha’s material, of course the results would be the same.

Vetevendosje member, Albanian citizen, arrested (Lajmi.net)

Kosovo Police arrested Vetevendosje member and Albanian citizen, Arber Zaimi today. According to a Vetevendosje movement post on Facebook, he was arrested only for being from Albania. “As it appears, the government of Kosovo is determined to expel every citizen of the Republic of Albania from Kosovo, and is equally as determined to facilitate Serbia’s legal and illegal interventions.

Vetevendosje: Abazi’s deportation, a political scandal (Zeri)

Former Vetevendosje leader and MP Albin Kurti said in a press conference today that the forcible deportation of the party’s official Boiken Abazi, an Albanian national, back to his home country represents a political scandal that requires the intervention of Tirana’s top leadership. Kurti said Abazi did not violate any Kosovo laws because if this had been the case he would have been given a proper trial.

Vetevendosje activist Alket Zeqiri arrested for setting a vehicle on fire (Gazeta Express)

Based on the order of the Pristina Basic Court, the Kosovo Police raided a house today in “Fazli Grajqevci” street in Fushe Kosove/Kosovo Polje, and arrested Alket Zeqiri, under suspicion of setting an official vehicle on fire. “A.Z., male, 26, is a citizen of the Republic of Kosovo, and suspect in a case which took place on 24.02.2016 at around 12:00 hours, at “Sejdi Kryeziu” street in Pristina, where a blue Hyundai vehicle was set on fire and was considerably damaged,” noted Kosovo Police.
