Office for Kosovo and Metohija announced yesterday that former Kosovo President Atifete Jahjaga did not try to enter central Serbia, but that an attempt of violation of security happened, reports KiM radio.

The leader of the Initiative for Kosovo, Fatmir Limaj, will attend a meeting with international members of the Commission for  Demarcation, established by President Atifete Jahjaga. Limaj’s presence was confirmed by Endrit Shala from Nisma.

Deputies of the Serbian List will talk today with the President of Kosovo Atifete Jahjaga, about her proposal to suspend the agreement on the Association/Community of  Serbian municipalities until the Constitutional Court does not express an opinion on the constitutionality.

President of the Serbian List Slavko Simic says that the move, of the Kosovo President, was a mistake because the Government should first issues a decree on the agreement.

President of Kosovo Atifete Jahjaga said that illegal migration trends are deeply concerning and that this is a result of the lack of economic development. “Whatever the migration causes may be, one thing remains uncontested: This must not be the Kosovo of 2015, because all of us, its citizens, share a different vision for our state, and our place within this state”, said Jahjaga at the meeting of the National Council on European Integration.

Kosovo President Atifete Jahjaga said that insufficient rate of economic growth, unemployment and lack of government effectiveness are leading to an environment that stimulates and increases influence of criminal and extremist groups. Jahjaga made these comments during a ceremony to mark the anniversary of the establishment of Kosovo Central Bank.

During the opening ceremony of "Women in Kosovo’s Security Institutions" project, Kosovo President Atifete Jahjaga expressed her support for all women and girls in uniform, who are part of judicial and security institutions in Kosovo. Jahjaga stated that the role and contribution of women is undeniable in building institutions and strengthening the rule of law.

Organized crime and terrorism are threatening Kosovo and the whole region, so the combat against these phenomena must be done with regional cooperation. This was said during the regional conference on "Challenges in combating organized crime and terrorism, and the cooperation in South-Eastern Europe,” Kosova Press reports.  Kosovo President Atifete Jahjaga said that combating organized crime and terrorism must be a common struggle and that every country in the region is facing illegal migration due to lack of cooperation in these areas.

When Hashim Thaci, leader of the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK), and Isa Mustafa, leader of the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK), met with Kosovo’s President, Atifete Jahjaga three days ago, the latter had expected that they had already resolved everything and the Assembly session would be held within 48 hours, writes GazetaBlic. But it did not happen. Presidency sources told Gazeta Blic that Jahjaga was surprised when Mustafa said that they needed time - almost two weeks, in order to compile the program and make the selection of ministers of the two parties.
