The Progressive Democratic Party was formed in 2013 at the founding assembly in Gracanica after its leader, Nenad Rasic left the SLS due to difference of opinion. Since then, the party has participated in Kosovo parliamentary elections, as well as local elections, in 2014 and 2017.

CI SDP decided to participate at the upcoming parliamentary elections with other political options gathered around the list ''Serbian List - Aleksandar Vucic''.

''It is our view that now, Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija need unity very much and support from the state of Serbia for the survival and preservation of state and national interests,'' it was said in the CI SDP press release.

The first indication of today's event was given by GI SDP activist Marko Jaksic.

The Basic Pristina Court sentenced six people to a total of 25 years in jail for planning terrorist attacks on the members of the NATO-led KFOR, the property of the Serbian Orthodox Church (SPC) and discotheques in Serb-populated parts of Kosovo, the KoSSev website reported on Wednesday.

The individual sentences vary from ten years to 12 months in prison.

Serbian National Forum also shares the stance of the newly formed coalition ''Sloboda'' (Freedom). They estimate that it is a pro formae opposition to the Serbian List, which will put the Serbs under additional pressure.

The Foreign Ministers of Serbia and Kosovo, Ivica Dacic and Behgjet Pacolli, told the Bled Security Forum that Belgrade-Pristina relations need to be normalized and added that they expect Matthew Palmer, Washington‘s new envoy for the Western Balkans to play a positive role in restarting their dialogue.

Speaking at the Forum on Tuesday, Palmer said that he believes there is room to reach an agreement to resolve the issue in the time after the new Kosovo government is formed and the elections in Serbia next spring.

A court in Pristina has issued arrest warrants for four Serbs, former Kosovo Police officers charged with smuggling goods from Serbia, the Insajderi portal reported on Thursday.

The court is reported to have issued the arrest warrants on August 2, the KoSSev portal said.

Insajderi said that the four former police officers are suspected of abusing their powers by smuggling goods illegally across the border in both directions.

The president of the European Movement of Serbs from Kosovo, Rada Trajkovic told Belgrade news agency FoNet that the "sole reason" for initiating a dialogue between the authorities and the opposition in Serbia was an attempt to hold and the opposition partially responsible in case Kosovo was taken out from the preamble to the Serbian Constitution.
