Serbs protested in Leposavić/Leposaviq because of the behaviour of Aleksandar Jablanović (MMagazin, Danas, KoSSev)

 

Media portal NMagazin reports that more people gathered in Leposavić/Leposaviq, and protested against the incident in which the leader of the Party of Kosovo Serbs (PKS) Aleksandar Jablanović pulled a gun and threatened activists of the Serbian list in front of the police station.

Protest was joined by the President of the Interim Authority in Leposavić Zoran Todić, who has called for a peaceful gathering.

German Ambassador to Serbia Axel Dittmann says that "all statements aimed at changing borders in the Balkans are dangerous."

Germany "does not accept that," he told the Belgrade daily Vecernje Novosti in an interview.

"We say it publicly, and that is the position of the EU," the German diplomat said, adding that it was "important that all sides lower tensions and move forward."

No confirmation of weapons seized en route to Macedonia (B92, Vecernje Novosti)

There has been no official information about a Military Security Agency (VBA) operation that recently reportedly netted a large quantity of weapons.

Only Belgrade-based media have reported about this, saying that several thousand rifle parts, machine guns, mortars and hand grenades were seized during "the secret operation" - as they were illegally transported through Serbia to Macedonia.

Serbia delivers non-paper to EU with four requests (Večernje Novosti)

Minister without Portfolio in charge of EU integration Jadranka Joksimović and Director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija Marko Đurić met with ambassadors of EU member-states in Belgrade on Thursday. The ambassadors were informed about the current situation in the region, positions of Belgrade regarding the open threats and negative reactions towards Serbia as well as the concerns of the Serbian government that the EU and its members turn a blind eye on all that.

"Turkey is behind 'Greater Albania' ideas in Balkans" (B92, Vecernje Novosti)

There is suspicion that Turkish intelligence is behind the statements about the redrawing borders in the Balkans and "the spread of the Greater Albania idea."

The Belgrade-based newspaper Vecernje Novosti is reporting this, adding that the treats against Serbia that have been arriving from Tirana, Pristina and Presevo in a synchronized manner, have been prepared in Ankara.

Mayor of Ranilug/Ranillug arrested, then released (Večernje Novosti, TV Pink)

Head of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija Marko Đurić confirmed this morning that Gradimir Mikić, Mayor of Ranilug/Ranillug, the municipality with Serbian majority in Kosovo, has been arrested and later released.

Đurić said that he was arrested only because he had in his vehicle 1,000 pre-election posters with the image of Prime Minister Aleksandar Vučić.

Vučić: US is not against the army of Kosovo but thinks it is not the moment (Večernje Novosti)

Prime Minister of Serbia Aleksandar Vučić says for TV Happy that he does not think that US today is directly against the formation of the army of Kosovo but they think that the moment was not good.

He said that the reaction of the NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg was different, and that he was sharper on the issue of the formation of the army.

"These are nuances, but we need to care of them. He was sharper on this issue and I thank him for that," said Vučić in TV Happy.

"Serbia to get Russian MiGs on NATO aggression anniversary" (B92, Večernje Novosti)

Russian President Vladimir Putin should sign a degree on the delivery of six MiG-29s to Serbia during his meeting in Moscow with Serbian PM Aleksandar Vucic.

Belgrade-based Vecernje Novosti is reporting this, and adding that there is a great chance that the warplanes will officially join the Serbian Armed Forces "symbolically" on March 24 - the 18th anniversary of the start of NATO's aggression against Serbia.
