Vulin: Serbs will never allow formation of the army in Kosovo (Večernje Novosti)

President of the Movement of Socialists Aleksandar Vulin said that the army in Kosovo, even by the laws of Pristina, can be formed only with the consent of all communities in Kosovo but that the Serbs will not allow it.

Vulin says that Serbs will never allow it, as well as that Serbia will not be able just to watch how on its territory, without the support of the UN Security Council, and without the decision of Serbs, armed forces grow.

"Main Ibar Bridge won't be opened this weekend" (B92, Beta, Večernje Novosti)

Despite the Kosovo Albanian politicians claims, Federica Mogherini will not attend the opening of the main bridge on the Ibar in Kosovska Mitrovica on March 4.

The reason, according to Beta, that is quoting the daily Vecernje Novosti, is that the bridge will not be opened then.

Mayor of Northern Mitrovica Goran Rakic told the newspaper that according to the Brussels agreement, the bridge will be opened once the works in the pedestrian zone in Kralja Petra Street have been completed.

Ivanović: I believe in justice despite everything (Večernje Novosti)

Leader of the CI SDP Oliver Ivanović told Večernje Novosti that he expects to be released on Wednesday, after three years of detention.

“Despite everything, I believe in justice and that truth always overpowers all injustices. I am pleased with the decision of the Court of Appeals of Kosovo, which reversed the first instance verdict for alleged war crimes, and I expect the termination of detention, but, above all, an acquittal” Oliver Ivanović said to Večernje Novosti.

Schwendiman: Specialist Prosecution not seeking Haradinaj's extradition (Večernje Novosti)

Head prosecutor of the Special Court on war crimes committed in Kosovo David Schwendiman told Večernje Novosti that he did not issued the warrant for the arrest or extradition of Ramush Haradinaj.

"Haradinaj was arrested by French authorities based on a Serbian warrant, which has issued it independently. That has not been done at my request," he said.

A request for the extradition of one of the leaders of the former KLA Ramush Haradinaj, has not arrived at the Court of Appeal in the French city of Colmar, and when the court would announce its opinion on the request of Serbia is still  unknown, reports Večernje Novosti.

A Serb arrested in Prizren (KIM radio)

Branimir Gligorijević from the returnee village of Novake, located 10 kilometres away from Prizren, was arrested yesterday around noon in Prizren.

According to unofficial information of Večernje Novosti daily, Branimir was arrested after leaving the car in the city center, where he went to buy groceries.

Gligorijević will be in custody, and is expected to be heard by the investigating judge.

Nikolić: A hint of rejection of the indictment against Haradinaj (Večernje Novosti, KIM radio)

Serbian President Tomislav Nikolić says that the decision of the French Court to release the leader of the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo Ramush Haradinaj, presents an indication of rejection of the indictment of Serbia.

"I believe that the European Union has given such a directive to all member states," said Nikolić for Večernje Novosti.

Nikolić said that "in such relationships will not be justice for the innocent Serbian victims of war crimes committed by Albanians."

 

The implementation of the agreement on justice is postponed? (Večernje Novosti, RTK2, Beta)

Daily Večernje Novosti reported that agreement on justice, agreed by Belgrade and Pristina in Brussels in 2013, which should begin with the realization on January 10, was postponed until January 17, but it is uncertain whether it will happen even then.

This delay of implementation of the agreement was confirmed at a meeting of Serbs employed in the judiciary in Kosovo with representatives of the Serbian Ministry of Justice.

Đurić: Jevtić to reject position of the minister (Večernje Novosti)

Director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija urges political representatives of the Serbs to revoke the decision, who on behalf of the Serbian nation have participated together with Thaçi and Mustafa in dismissal of the legitimate Serbian representative because of very little authority and at a time when the Serbian ministers and officials froze their participation in provincial institutions.

Đurić said this to Večernje Novosti daily on Sunday.
