The Law on Velika Hoca must be respected (RTK2)

During the visit of MPs from the Serbian List to Velika Hoca, residents and members of the Council for the Protection of this place complained that the Law on the protection of Velika Hoca is not fully implemented. As an example they mentioned the illegally constructed premises on the territory of the village where building is banned, as well insufficient security, occupied property, administrative obstacles and unemployment. As stated, the Law stipulates more competences for the Council.

Democratic Party of Serbia: The bomb in Zubin Potok is mounted diversion in Vucic's organization (RTK2, Blic)

The Committee of the Democratic Party of Serbia (DSS) in Kosovo says that the explosion in Zubin Potok, on the eve of the visit of Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic, actually is "mounted diversion", and "directed" the Prime Minister himself.

"Kosovo owns 110 facilities in Serbia" (RTK2, KoSSev)

Dispute around the Status of the University of Pristina solved? (RTK2)

Drama on the proposals of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija on changing the status of the University of Pristina (North Mitrovica), that is, a merger of individual faculties within the University, what would make the University of Pristina (Serbian) a so-called integrated university, was partially completed yesterday.

Currently, Kosovo Armed Forces are an unattainable goal (RTK2)  

Adviser to the Kosovo Prime Minister Bajram Gecaj considers that the overall political climate in Kosovo, including negotiations with representatives of Serbs but also tensions between Albanian parties, are preventing all talks on the formation of the Kosovo Armed Forces. Gecaj argues that "in this atmosphere of polarization" it is impossible to go further.

Hodzic: A/CSM is a body for the protection of Serbs (RTK2)

Executive Director of the municipal administration in North Mitrovica Adriana Hozić said in a talk show broadcasted on RTK2 that the aim of the formation of the Association / Community of Serbian municipalities (A/CSM) is the creation of a body that will defend the national interests of the Serbian community in Kosovo.

Main trial against juvenile Albanians in Mitrovica completed (RTK2)

The Chamber of the Basic Court in North Mitrovica for minors, presided by the EULEX judge Nuno de Madeira, completed the main trial in the criminal proceedings against six juvenile Albanians, who were accused last year by EULEX prosecutor Pascal Persoons for repeatedly crossing the Ibar/Iber bridge to carry out a number of different offenses, the RTK2 learns.

More than 30.000 citizens of Kosovo renounced their nationality (RTK2)

Around 32,000 people have been denied Kosovo citizenship since 2009. According to the Kosovo Ministry of Interior, the reason for this is that some EU countries do not allow dual citizenship for citizens who are not part of the European Union. On the other hand, 6,000 people applied for Kosovo citizenship, but only about 1,200 obtained it. People who acquired Kosovo citizenship are mostly from neighboring countries, which allow one or more nationalities.

Faster return process through cooperation with international partners (RTK2)  

Kosovo Minister for Communities and returns, Dalibor Jevtic participated in a board discussion on the “Displaced persons: Sustainable and permanent solutions for Prizren and Mitrovica North” project.
