"Tomorrow is the Albanian national holiday and I expect that the Albanian community will celebrate it in peace. I congratulate them the holiday, but I also appeal not to stir up the atmosphere of intolerance and not to point the finger at their neighbours - Serbs, during tomorrow’s announced protests," said Slavko Simic. If there is any disorder in the protests scheduled for tomorrow by the opposition, responsibility will be borne by Albanian politicians, says the president of the Serbian List, Slavko Simic.

In three days of violence in March 2004, ten Serbs have been killed, 35 churches and monasteries burned and 935 facilities owned by Serbs, 4,012 Serbs expelled from six towns and nine villages in Kosovo.

Precisely that was one of the main arguments of Serbia why Pristina does not deserve membership in UNESCO.

President of the Serbian list in Kosovo Assembly Slavko Simic said that the decision of the Kosovo Constitutional Court to suspend the part of the Brussels Agreement is an attempt to postpone the implementation of a key element of the agreement – establishment of the Association / Community of Serb Municipalities (ZSO).

The Head of the parliamentary group of the Serbian List Slavko Simic took over officially the office of President of the Citizen Initiative Serbian List, from Aleksandar Jablanovic, who was appointed Secretary of State in the Ministry of Labor, Employment, and Social Issues of the Government of Serbia.

Deputies of the Serbian List in the Kosovo Parliament supported yesterday the Law on ratification of the Stabilisation and Association Agreement, but have abstained from vote on an amendment to the agreement which stipulates that Kosovo in agreement instead of asterisk is referred to as the Republic of Kosovo.

President of the Serbian list Slavko Simic says that he agreed with the representatives of the Kosovo Government that there would be no unilateral decisions taken, as was the sending of the agreement on the Community/Association of Serbian municipalities to the Constitutional Court for review, and that there will not be reciprocal measures related to personal documents and vehicle registration plates.

Serbian List parliamentary group chief, Slavko Simic, said today that the Stabilization and Association Agreement (SAA) is an important step for Kosovo itself and the entire region. Promising a constructive contribution to the realization of the requirements of the SAA, Simic specifically stressed the benefits towards economic development and entrepreneurship in Kosovo.

Serbian MPs in the Kosovo Assembly agreed that sending the agreement about the Association / Community of Serb Municipalities to the Constitutional Court would be a bad move, because it would not have affect on the opposition to stop blockade of the parliament.

Deputies of the Serbian List will talk today with the President of Kosovo Atifete Jahjaga, about her proposal to suspend the agreement on the Association/Community of  Serbian municipalities until the Constitutional Court does not express an opinion on the constitutionality.

President of the Serbian List Slavko Simic says that the move, of the Kosovo President, was a mistake because the Government should first issues a decree on the agreement.

The head of the parliamentary group of the Serbian List in the Kosovo Assembly Slavko Simic said that steps were agreed in a meeting with the Minister of Internal Affairs of Kosovo Skender Hyseni for the police to implement in order to ensure the security and freedom of movement of Serbs.

Simic says that will be taken effective measures in high-risk areas, and there are also certain areas where incidents are repeated, such as the municipalities of Klina/Kline and Pec/Peja.
