Kosovo Government made the decision to expand its decision on 100 percent taxes and include international companies that produce their goods in central Serbia, national public broadcaster RTS reports.  

According to RTS this decision was made at today’s Kosovo government session, only a few hours after Quint ambassadors requested full abolishment of the taxes on goods from central Serbia.

The Draft Law on Dialogue with Serbia means the official Pristina new approach in Brussels talks, but the question is whether it is realistic and whether it will be applicable in the further course of the dialogue process, professor and expert for the Kosovo-Serbia dialogue Belul Beqaj said.

It's ridiculous that Montenegrin President Milo Djukanovic says Serbia's relations with "neighbors Zagreb, Pristina, and Podgorica" have been strained. First Deputy PM and Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic stated this, adding that it was also ridiculous to say that Montenegro was "not making anti-Serb decisions, but those in its own interest."

"I suppose Djukanovic means Montenegrin interests, which is nice - because Serbia is also making decisions in its own interest," Dacic told Podgorica-based daily Dan. "Should I apologize to somebody because of that?," he asked.

All Serbian media quoted a survey conducted by the Center for Euro-Atlantic Studies in cooperation with CeSID.

According to the survey, 53 percent of citizens are for Kosovo to remain in Serbia at all costs.

The "advance party" of Russian President Vladimir Putin will arrive in Serbia on January 12, Beta news agency is reporting, citing an article published by Belgrade-based daily Danas.

It is then that the detailed plan of Putin's visit, scheduled for January 17, will be known, the report added.

Citing "unofficial diplomatic sources," the newspaper states that representatives of the Russian president's protocol, media relations, as well as members of his security, will arrive here on January 12.

The final stage of preparation is currently under way to adopt the second cycle of the Individual Partnership Action Plan (IPAP) between Serbia and NATO, Tanjug news agency reports.

It is the highest mechanism of NATO cooperation with partner countries, Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs of Serbia in charge of security issues Branimir Filipovic said.

Serbia cannot recognize the independence of Kosovo, because if it does, neither region nor Serbia will receive anything, said president of the European Movement in Kosovo Rada Trajkovic to the Belgrade based weekly NIN and estimated that this would lead to destabilization of Serbia, reports Belgrade based daily Danas.

First Deputy PM and Foreign Affairs Ivica Dacic received on Wednesday in Belgrade Romanian Foreign Minister Teodor Melescanu, who was on an official visit here.

According to the Serbian Government, Dacic thanked Melescanu for attending a joint press conference after his meeting in the Palace of Serbia, "because he came to Serbia only a few days before Romania takes over the EU Council Presidency."

He pointed out that relations between Serbia and Romania are "very friendly."

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov has sent holiday greetings to First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivica Dacic.

In his message dated December 21, Lavrov said that Moscow is ready for further close cooperation "on the Kosovo issue."
The Foreign Ministry announced in a press release late on Tuesday that Dacic was presented with Lavrov's New Year and Christmas (to be celebrated in Serbia and Russia on January 7) message during a meeting in Belgrade with Russian Ambassador Aleksandr Chepurin.

Russian President Vladimir Putin is expected to make a visit to Serbia in January 2019, Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on Tuesday, TASS reported.

"Preparations for the president's visit to Serbia are underway, the visit is planned for January," Peskov said.

The Russian agency noted in its report that Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said earlier that he expected Putin in Belgrade on January 17.
