Serbian Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic told RTS he expects nothing spectacular from today’s meeting in Brussels. He also pointed out Serbia will never accept unilaterally declared independence of Kosovo.

Speaking for the RTS news edition, Dacic said there are many fake news related to Kosovo lately, and one can read some spectacular information every day, however “famous” Thursday when it was announced that somebody from Germany would bring a proposal or ultimatum has also passed.

Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic says Western countries expect Serbia to recognize Kosovo, which he described as insolent and humiliating.

"They separated Kosovo from Serbia with bombs and now they tell us that this story is finished," Dacic said in an interview for Friday's edition of daily Vecernje Novosti.

The number of Kosovars seeking asylum decreased last year, similarly to other countries in the region, but Albania continues to be a concern with over 20,000 applicants in the past year.

There were 5,310 first-time asylum seekers from Kosovo in the EU during 2017, according to new data published by Eurostat, the EU statistics agency.

Leader of the opposition Democratic Party of Serbia (DSS), Milos Jovanovic told Serbian media the Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic sent from New York “a clear confession” that the policy “both Kosovo and the EU has faced a complete failure.”

“This irrational Kosovo policy that he hastily implements, launched in 2008 by Democratic Party (DS), President of the Republic quite accurately called “stupid and irresponsible,” Jovanovic said in a written statement.

A handball game between the teams of Serbia and so-called Kosovo will be played in Kovilovo on Friday without the presence of spectators and media.

The Handball Association of Serbia (RSS) announced this on Wednesday.

The game will be played as part of a qualifying tournament for EHF's Women's Junior World Championship that will take place Gyor, Hungary later this year.

Marko Djuric said on Thursday that Kosovo will never be a state, nor will Presevo ever be a part of it.

Serbian Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic denied allegations that a German delegation with a proposal for a legally binding agreement on Kosovo will arrive to Serbia, N1 broadcaster reports.

"It's nonsense, nobody comes," Dacic told the Belgrade based daily Politika.

Kosovo Assembly Speaker Kadri Veseli claims “there is no possibility to change the borders in the region,” however, he would “like it the most if municipalities in the south of central Serbia, Presevo and Medvedja belong to Kosovo, if Serbia would agree to it,” adding “that Kosovo has nothing to give to Serbia,” Tanjug news agency reported today, referring to TV T7.

Veseli who earlier threatened that “Kosovo borders would reach Nis” added that “opening of the border issue in the Balkans always meant war.”

Serbia has received an ultimatum - "to recognize Kosovo in exchange for the Community of Serb Municipalities (ZSO)."

At least that's what the press is reporting this Thursday, Prva TV said.

According to the media, the Serbian president "received such an offer" from diplomats in Berlin, Paris, London, and Washington - while this has been "confirmed to him" these last days during the meetings in New York City.

President Aleksandar Vucic told RTS late on Wednesday that he had "a number of difficult and strenuous meetings" on Kosovo in the US over the past three days.

"We are not only negotiating with the Albanians, but also with those who have created an independent Kosovo," Vucic said, adding that he "cannot talk too much about the meetings."

He said he had "a series of marathon-length meetings" and in the end met with UN chief Antonio Guterres.
