From the moment relations between the West and Russia became more harsh and started to resemble to the renewal of the Cold War, increased the pressures from both sides on Serbia to choose the side. Kreshnik Berisha was sentenced today in Frankfurt to three years and nine months in prison for joining the organization of Islamic State (ISIS). Last year, Berisha was accused that he traveled to Syria where he stayed for five months, and fought alongside ISIS, Indeksonline reports. This is the first trial in Germany held for someone who joined ISIS. Berisha, 20 years old, was born in Germany to Kosovo Albanian parents.

Serbian Minister without portfolio in charge of European integration Jadranka Joksimovic stated on Saturday that Germany is not conditioning Serbia and that is just has a different approach to the Serbia-EU talks, and expressed the hope that a good solution would soon be found and that the first chapter in the talks would open soon.

A three-member delegation of the Serb political representatives, consisting of the Minister for Communities and Returns Dalibor Jevtic, Mayor of Strpce/Shtrpce, Bratislav Nikolic and MP Sasa Milosavljevic is visiting Berlin.

As announced by the Ministry for Communities and Return, three Serbian representatives met with Christian Schwarz-Schilling, MP of the ruling CDU, and introduced him with the current political situation in Kosovo, noting that institutional crisis is affecting the lives of citizens.

Further European integration of Serbia is impossible until Belgrade and Pristina reach agreement, indicated Serbian experts on international issues.
