Shops in northern Kosovo to remain closed until further notice (RTS)

All shops, restaurants and business premises in the north of Kosovo and Metohija remain closed since yesterday RTS reports. The Association of Businessmen would decide how long it would last. As said earlier they were not able to run their businesses for more than seven months due to the tariffs Pristina imposed on the goods from central Serbia.

Petkovic: Haradinaj’s trucks are not aid but deception (Vecernje Novosti, TV Pink, KoSSev)

Serbian Government Office for Kosovo and Metohija Assistant Director Petar Petkovic said the trucks with the goods Ramush Haradinaj sent to the northern Kosovo are not aid but rather a deception, Vecernje Novosti reported.

All shops in northern Kosovo closed (RTS)

As a sign of protest against the trade blockade and 100 percent tariffs that Pristina imposed on goods from central Serbia all shops in the north of Kosovo and Metohija are closed, RTS reports today.

Bakeries, petrol stations, pharmacies, beauty salons, restaurants and coffee bars are closed as well. Citizens were making reserves over the last couple of days while Chairman of the Businessmen Association from northern Kosovo, Rados Petrovic said the measure would remain in force as long as Pristina does not lift the tariffs.

Vucic on food supply in north, Haradinaj’s statement (Tanjug, B92)

The Serbian state would help Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija, and we expect nothing from the international community in regard to aggravated supply for our people in Kosovo, Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said Tanjug news agency reports.

Vucic added Serbia must rely on itself and the state would see how it can help people in Kosovo under such difficult and complex situation. He pointed out that Pristina came up with a new excuse to justify its tariffs on goods from central Serbia and thus make supply for the Serbs in the north even more difficult.

The Orthodox Church in Novo Brdo converted into Catholic? (KIM radio, Sputnik, B92)

Radio KiM reports that the remains of the Orthodox Church of St Nicholas in Novo Brdo is being converted by Pristina authorities into a three-necked basilica, which is a great forgery, warned Marko Popovic, co-author of the monograph dedicated to the church.

Popovic claims that a part of the conservation works has already been done, and on the board in front of the site, a reconstruction project has been shown that has nothing to do with the actual situation, reported KIM radio.

''Pristina trying to draw attention away from their own crimes'' (RTS, Beta, N1)

A Serbian ruling party official and Chairman of the parliamentary Committee for Kosovo, Milovan Drecun says that the authorities in Pristina are trying to draw attention away from investigations against key figures of the war-time Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA) by claiming that Serbia committed genocide.

"Tirana dictates, Thaci and Haradinaj want ‘Greater Albania’" (TV Pink, Tanjug, B92)

"Kosovo Albanian leaders Haradinaj and Thaci are under strong western influence, but Tirana is dictating the events with the goal of creating ‘Greater Albania’." Chairman of the Serbian National Assembly's Committee on Kosovo and Metohija Milovan Drecun said this on Wednesday.

He told TV Pink everything that has been done so far, including the formation of KLA ("Kosovo Liberation Army"), had been done to allow Albania to forcefully seize the southern province of Serbia, Kosovo, and embark on the realization of the ‘Greater Albania’ project.

Djuric on Serb unity, ambulance vehicle case (RTS)

People who make decision to ban an ambulance vehicle to cross an administrative line can not be called civilized people, Director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija Marko Djuric told RTS. He added regardless of all threats and intimidation by Pristina, Serbs would remain united.

“Such a case makes you speechless. I urge the entire international community to pay attention to this case (…),” Djuric said.

Vucic confirmed: I go to Berlin to meet Thaci and Haradinaj (Tanjug, B92)

Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic has confirmed he would respond to the invitation by Germany and France and meet with Pristina representatives in Berlin on April 29.

Speaking in a press conference, after the meeting with Kosovo Serb political representatives Vucic said he has been invited to visit Berlin along with the Prime Minister Ana Brnabic, adding Hashim Thaci and Ramush Haradinaj are also invited.

Haradinaj deposed Minister Todosijevic over statement on NATO bombing (KoSSev)

KoSSev portal reported that following the report of Voice of America on Vesna Mikic being deposed of her function as Kosovo Deputy Minister of Justice because of her comment on NATO bombing of the-then Federal Republic Yugoslavia, while there was no reaction to the similar statement that Ivan Todosijevic, the Minister of Local Self-Governance Administration has made, Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj deposed Minister Todosijevic of his function today.
