Novosti: “Ramush fantasizes about squad of Serbs” (Vecernje Novosti, B92)

Belgrade-based daily Vecernje Novosti in an article published on Monday, refutes claims of the Kosovo Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj, who said that around 40 Serbs from Pomoravlje region applied to join the Kosovo army.

The daily further writes only two Serbs from the village of Gornje Kusce have applied. It also reported on a statement of Novo Brdo mayor Svetislav Ivanovic, who said that all Serb members of the Kosovo Security Forces (KSF) from the area have left the KSF last year, with exception of two or three officers.

FM Dacic expects "no agreement with Pristina - they don't want it" (Tanjug, BN, B92)

An agreement with Pristina won't be reached, because Albanians do not want it, Serbian Minister of Foreign Affairs and First Deputy PM Ivica Dacic has assessed. He told Bijeljina-based BN broadcaster late on Thursday that "delimitation" of Kosovo is not a new idea, that it has been talked about for years, and that Serbia in 2005 had a proposal from the international community to partition Kosovo.

Drecun: US can discipline Thaci and Haradinaj (BETA, RTS)

Serbian National Assembly Committee for Kosovo and Metohija Chairman Milovan Drecun said he believes a way would be found to abolish tariffs Pristina imposed on the goods from Serbia, BETA news agency reports.

He added Kosovo Prime Minister Haradinaj and President Thaci need to “find an exit strategy” from a situation they brought themselves in, otherwise they risk losing support of “the sponsors of Kosovo independence.”

Vucic on Pristina, tariffs, dialogue (Tanjug, B92, TV Pink)

Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said he wishes that Pristina revokes the tariffs and to continue talks, Tanjug news agency reported. Vucic added, while there are no talks between Belgrade and Pristina, there is a danger of violence against the Serbian population.

Commenting on the possibility that Ramush Haradinaj cancels decision on tariffs, Vucic told TV Pink that Haradinaj is thinking about that for a long time.

Djuric on Haradinaj’s statement: This is not 1999 (Tanjug)

Serbian Government Office for Kosovo and Metohija Director, Marko Djuric commenting on statement of Kosovo PM Ramush Haradinaj that border correction suits only Russian President and anyone who opens the issue of borders is an enemy to the Albanian people, said that we are not in 1999, Tanjug news agency reports.

Convicted KLA commander became Haradinaj’s adviser (Tanjug, RTS, KoSSev)

Sulejman Selimi, former KLA commander, who was sentenced for the war crime against the civilian population in Kosovo, currently released on parole, has been appointed as a political adviser to the Kosovo Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj, KoSSev portal reports.

The portal added, referring to Pristina-based daily Zeri that chief of Haradinaj’s cabinet, Avni Arifi has confirmed the news.

Rikalo on politics in Pristina, his reposition (RTS)

Over the last two decades a mechanism “as Americans say” was ruling in Pristina, however, it disappeared in the last two months, Nenad Rikalo told RTS.

He added, an environment “who would deceive whom” prevails in Pristina, with Haradinaj wining major popularity with the move on tariffs, while Thaci’s PDK leads politics to the certain extent harmonized with that of the USA.

Rikalo also underlined that the Serbs would fight with all political means at disposal to defend the interests of Brezovica, Trepca, Gazivode and the Serbs in enclaves.

Brussels loses patience with Pristina (Danas)

All twenty-eight EU member-states conveyed a message to Pristina authorities there would be no continuation of the Brussels dialogue until Pristina revokes its decision on 100 percent tariffs on goods from Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina, Danas daily reports referring to diplomatic sources.

The sources also confirmed to Danas, this was made clear to the representatives of recently appointed Pristina’s team for Brussels dialogue, two days ago during their visit to Brussels.

Dacic: Haradinaj unaware of situation he is in (SRNA, Blic, Vecernje Novosti)

Commenting on a letter Kosovo Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj sent to the world leaders saying “that Kosovo negotiates with Serbia as a sovereign state”, Foreign Affairs Minister Ivica Dacic said Haradinaj is unaware of the situation he is in, Blic daily reports.

“If it is so, why they do not become a UN member, join Interpol or UNESCO, why 13 countries have revoked recognitions of Kosovo, and why the USA and the EU accept to look for a compromise,” Dacic told Vecernje Novosti daily.
