International community to be more vigilant in Kosovo (TV Most)

Abbot of Visoki Decani Monastery, Father Sava Janjic, believes that the security, political and economic situation in Kosovo is extremely unstable. An additional element of instability is the rising Islamic fundamentalism, which poses a threat to all inhabitants of Kosovo. "I think that regional cooperation on all safety measures is very important to minimizing risk. Premises that are particularly sensitive, should be better protected," said Father Sava.

Two men wounded in Mitrovica shooting (Dailies)

Local hospital informed Tanjug that a young Serb man was seriously wounded in a shooting late Sunday in Kosovska Mitrovica. Another 21-year old man sustained minor injuries, the agency said. Health Center Director Milan Ivanovic told Tanjug that the seriously wounded man, S.C., has undergone an operation after being shot in the chest and the abdomen.

Vetevendosje: Government is using Kosovo Police for political reasons (RTKLive)

Mirsad Shkreta, member of Vetevendosje’s General Council, told a press conference today the government is using the Kosovo Police for political reasons. "Police interventions, especially in the last five months are purely political in order to protect the ruling-coalition and the agreements on Association/Community of Serb-majority municipalities and border demarcation with Montenegro. Kosovo police are not fighting crime and corruption as they should, but instead, they are focusing in suppressing the opposition and arresting its MPs,” Shkreta said.

Ministry of Environment vehicle damaged in Pristina (Indeksonline)

Another official vehicle belonging to the Ministry of Environment was damaged today in Pristina. The news was confirmed by Kosovo Police who is investigating the case. There has been an increase in cases of damages of official vehicles in the past months. Moreover, a large number of vehicles were set on fire by unidentified persons.

Ministry of Culture vehicle set on fire in Gjilan/Gnjilane (Indeksonline)

An official vehicle belonging to the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports was set on fire this morning in Gjilan/Gnjilane. The news was confirmed by Kosovo Police spokesperson Ismet Hashani. He said that the Kosovo Police is investigating the case and that there are no suspects for the moment.  Several official vehicles have been burnt throughout Kosovo in the past month.

KP: Fight against organized crime, our main priority (Koha)

Kosovo Police general director Shpend Maxhuni, during a press conference today said that preventing and combating organized crime remains a priority for this institution, together with the fight against terrorism, extremism and radicalism. According to him, Kosovo's citizens deserve to have less crime and much more security. Kosovo’s Interior Minister, Skender Hyseni, stressed that another priority of the Kosovo Police and Interior Ministry remains its membership in all international organizations.

Rakic: Police must find perpetrators (TV Most)

North Mitrovica Mayor Goran Rakic condemned the bomb attack that happened this morning in Mitrovica. He stressed that acts of violence are unacceptable and that as such deserves the harshest condemnation. "Those who are behind this attack want to destabilize situation in the city. I hope that the police will make necessary efforts, in order to find people responsible for this attack, "said Rakic.
