300 Kosovars at conflict zones, 50 killed (RTKLive)

The Ambassador of the OSCE Mission in Kosovo, Jean Claude Schlumberger said that participation of Kosovo citizens in ISIS is a signal that should be stopped quickly.

He said societies throughout the world are facing extremism and radicalism, therefore bridges should be built to fight these challenges among communities, institutions and states of the region.

Police arrest MP Ismail Kurteshi (media)

Several news sites report that Kosovo Police arrested Vetevendosje MP Ismail Kurteshi this morning. The court had previously ordered a house arrest measure for Kurteshi for setting off a teargas canister in the Kosovo Assembly, and Kurteshi violated the measure by attending an opposition rally in Gjilan/Gnjilane on Saturday. The Basic Court in Pristina later announced a 30-day detention measure against Kurteshi.

Police arrest AAK MP Pal Lekaj (media)

Several news sites report that the Kosovo Police arrested Alliance for the Future of Kosovo (AAK) MP Pal Lekaj as he was leaving the Assembly premises today. Lekaj is believed to have set off one of the teargas canisters in today’s session of the Assembly. The AAK issued a press release confirming Lekaj’s arrest. “The AAK strongly condemns the political actions of the police against the MPs and their family members. There is no force that can turn us back from the righteous cause of defending the Constitution and the territorial sovereignty of Kosovo.

Kosovo Serb police officers instructed not to wear new police uniforms (media)

Several news websites are reporting that the Serbian Interior Ministry has instructed Serb police officers serving with the Kosovo Police not to wear the new uniforms that have the emblem of the Republic of Kosovo. Sources from the police station in Zvecan, in northern Kosovo, told Kosovapress news agency that Serb officers could be allowed to wear the new uniforms only if the emblem is removed.

Simic goes against Vucic, calls for local protection for Serbs (Klan Kosova)

Slavko Simic, leader of the Serbian List, paid a separate visit to the village of Gorazdevac on Monday and not as part of a delegation led by Marko Djuric, head of the Serbian Government’s Office for Kosovo. Police arrest Vetevendosje MPs Haxhiu and Topalli (media)

The news websites reported earlier in the day that the Kosovo Police arrested Vetevendosje MP Albulena Haxhiu wanted for her role in the releasing of teargas at the Kosovo Assembly chamber. Haxhiu is reported to have been arrested in Pristina. In the afternoon, the media reported that another Vetevendosje MP, Faton Topalli, also wanted by the police, was arrested inside the premises of the Kosovo Assembly. In a Facebook post, Topalli said he was inside the Assembly and was not being allowed by the police to leave.

Bishop: Security in Kosovo is getting out of control of the local authorities (Blic)

Bishop of Raska and Prizren Teodosije, strongly condemned terrorist attack on the Serb village Gorazdevac, adding that it shows that the security situation in Kosovo is getting out of control of the local institutions that are unable to provide security to citizens.

Kosovo Deputy Prime Minister Branimir Stojanovic strongly condemned the attack on the property of the director of the hospital in Gracanica municipality, Dr Nebojsa Milovanovic, and called on the authorities to find the perpetrators and bring them to the justice. "The police station in Gracanica is obliged to solve the case. I call on responsible people from this station not to act irresponsibly and indifferently, as it was the case in two recent attacks: on MP in Gracanica municipality and on president of Lipljan/Lipjan provisional body."

KP: Ymeri and Derguti refused to be present during the search operation (Koha)

Two days after the Amnesty International called for investigation into the actions of the Kosovo Police (KP) during an operation to arrest Vetevendosje MP Albin Kurti, the KP issued a press release explaining its actions. The KP denied using excessive force during the operation at Vetevendosje Movement offices on 28 November. "The actions of KP officials who participated in the arrest on 28 November 2015, are being examined by the KP Commission for reviewing the use of force by the KP, and the Directorate of Professional Standards.
