Cedomir Jovanovic: Opposition has no solution for Kosovo (TV N1)

Srpska Lista reacted yesterday to open letter, member of the Serb National Forum, Momcilo Trajkovic sent to the President Vucic saying that six months after their meeting, the President Vucic did not fulfill any promise he made.

Dacic: USA ready to support compromise for Kosovo (Tanjug, RTS)

USA administration is ready to offer support to Serbia in finding a compromise solution for Kosovo issue, and that is very positive for Serbia at this moment, Serbian Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic told Tanjug news agency.

Dacic also expressed impression that the current situation in relation between the two states is different comparing to the previous times and he has informed Serbian President Vucic about that, news agency continued.

President to address nation on Kosovo issue in September (Tanjug, B92)

Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic has announced that he will address the nation in mid-September regarding the solution for the issue of Kosovo and Metohija.

Vucic said he would until then "continue the fight not to lose everything, but to try to get something" - which he said seemed to him like "we have a good opportunity to do."

"The Serb people will not be losers, we will not lose everything, we count also on higher wages, and we have a clear road to the future and security," Vucic said in a statement for RTS.

Serbian Orthodox Church: Kosovo Government to pay rent (Danas, Radio Free Europe)

Serbian Orthodox Church in Kosovo does not ask for financial help from the Kosovo Government, but to pay the rent for using the premise owned by the Serbian Orthodox Church in Pristina, where Kosovo Anti-Corruption Agency is seated, Abbot of Visoki Decani Monastery Father Sava Janjic told Radio Free Europe.

According to Radio Free Europe, Kosovo Government told them they have completed that obligation. The premise used by the Anti-Corruption Agency according to cadastral records belongs to the Serbian Orthodox Church Saint Nikola Temple in Pristina.

Serbia’s proposal to normalize ties with Kosovo may include some form of partition along ethnic lines to try to halt an outflow of Serbs from areas dominated by ethnic Albanians, President Aleksandar Vucic said.

“It’s better to get something than nothing,” said the president, who is yet to outline details of his plan that may bring a breakthrough after years of European Union-mediated talks between Serbia and Kosovo that have failed to mend ties. The former foes need to reach a deal to free up their path to the EU.

Chairperson of Srpska Lista (SL) Goran Rakic told Serbian media that SL representatives met with the President Vucic and spoke about political and security situation in Kosovo. Rakic said he was pleased to hear that the solution for Kosovo would be reached by compromise and in a consultation with the Serb people living in Kosovo and Metohija.

He also underlined they conveyed the message of Serbs from Kosovo support to the President Vucic. “We had enough politics from previous times when Serbs did not have interlocutor in Belgrade,” Rakic said.
